Starbucks Centrepoint Bandar Utama — Restaurant in Petaling Jaya

Been coming here for years, it's usually pretty decent, the staffs are usually very friendly, but recently some of them have become quite rude. Instead of going around to the customers and reminding them about the closing time like they usually do, they abruptly switch off all the lights in the shop without any prior communication, leaving you to pack your stuff in darkness. They'll switch the lights back on again once you've stepped out. This is extremely rude and unprofessional. What if customers accidentally left some of their belongings behind due to the darkness? Some of their customers go there to do work, and abruptly switching off the power supply could cause them to lose their unsaved work. But this is all besides the point. The point is they should just communicate with customers first before resorting to this sort of actions, abruptly switching off the lights and power supply. As persuaded by the barista, i give a try on the almondmilk pumpkin spice frappe which he said was good, i asked for less less sweet. What i tasted later was nothing like pumpkin.. it tasted like gingerbread biscuits being turned into a frappe and its sweet. I had to return the frappe to them mentioning I don't like the taste at all.. its misleading for me. So i took a safe bet, i ordered a tall caffe latte.. guess what, it's bad as well, the only thing i tasted was milk and the drink was all white. I was so disappointed with it and my friend went over to the counter to add on shots of espresso, which he paid additional Rm5 for it. No more crafted drinks for me at Starbucks, except going to to only have Americano next time. Starbucks, you guys are a ripped off company that has no appreciation on good coffee. The best Starbucks I’ve ever been to for work and study!

The seating here is so well thought out. It really caters to whatever you need. I especially love the semi-long table with three power plugs, it honestly feels like a mini co-working space! Unlike other places that just throw in a long table and call it a day, this setup isn’t messy or cramped at all.

There’s also a nice area for people who just want to chat over coffee. The spot near the aircond can be a bit chilly, but that just gives you the perfect excuse to enjoy a hot drink. There’s even outdoor seating if you prefer that.
