This week went for lunch with colleagues around 12pm. They have big bulk order for delivery and the restaurant was full. Almost all tables waiting for more than 1 hour for our food. When we asking when will be our food served the lady said 10 mins but we waited another 30 mins instead. This shows rather poor management in managing their services. If they are short of staff and having large bulk delivery order at the same time, they should have given notification to their customers on the waiting time upon the customers stepping in to the restaurant, and not keeping quiet letting customers settling down and waited for more than 1 hour for their food. Because of this long wait, one of my colleagues missed his meeting at 1.30pm as the food only arriving at 1.22pm.

We reflected our opinion and view to the person in charged during making the payment, and also commented that this kind of service would deter us from visiting this restaurant again. What the person in charged responded to us is there is nothing she can do, as due to short of staff and having bulk orders. If we choose not to return it is...

I was happiest when they finally open for business on Saturdays and Sundays. Used to be they were only opened on Mondays to Fridays.

We have always liked their salted egg fried chicken nasi lemak. Their sambal is sweet and not so spicy. I think that is how a more Chinese sambal supposed to taste like. We compared both sambals from Mamalee and Village Park at the same time. Mamalee's feels more Chinese Nyonya somewhat.

We have also witnessed the amazing changes in the food portion over the months or year. The rice portion remained small. The chicken has changed from being large;- a whole thigh and drumstick to medium and last, was kinda between small and medium. Could it be supplier's chicken sizes or maybe its a permanent change. Won't be able to tell till the next visit.

Its a nice litte cosy cafe. A table was taken up when we were there. We opted to takeaway.

Service was very good. The male cashier was extremely patient and friendly.

I give it a 5 star still for the food, ambience and service.

Updates, we had their lobak recently, its really fat...

Mamalee deserves more recognition for their food. They serve more than just nasi lemak. You can also get nyonya dishes too.

While they are famous for their salted egg fried chicken nasi lemak (and buttermilk as well), I personally like the chicken rendang. It is so flavourful and full of spices. The rempah fried chicken is not bad too. Have ordered several times and food didnt disappoint.

Their prices are also very reasonable, esp when the portion is huge. Rice is fragrant and comes with all the standard condiment for nasi lemak. Their sambal deserves a mention as well. It is the type where they use onions as base to make the sambal.

Skip the queue at the nearby contender and head up here instead. The environment is more comfortable too with equally good...

Just tried out Mamalee after finding out that it was only a few doors away from the other famous nasi lemak place, Village Park Nasi Lemak. How was it? Parking: parking was good, as we have Starling Mall just opposite us. There's ample parking for everyone. And it's within walking distance Food: Food came relatively fast. And though the chicken is slightly smaller than Lim Fried Chicken, it is tasty. The Nasi Lemak Salted Egg came soaked in salted egg sauce, giving it the elusive umami. I enjoyed the food here Ambience: Did you know that Mamalee can double up as a cafe? It opens from 8am till 8pm, offers a couple of power points and has WiFi. I'm definitely coming back here Brotip: On Saturdays, you might be able to get some free parking at the row behind Mamalee

After trying mamalee nasi lemak for few times, it is always good experience. Only located few doors away from from the famous village nasi lemak in Damansara uptown, this hidden gem is located on the second floor beside a car workshop small stairway entrance. This place is famous for its salted egg fried chicken nasi lemak which is crispy in texture. Having tried that before, this visit tried the ayam masak merah & rendang version. The chicken meat is tender. They are generous with the chicken as they give both the drumstick and the thigh. The reason for 4stars is because the sambal and rice is not as fragrance but still taste delicious as the whole package. Looking at the menu, there is also crispy rendang if you ever feel like want to try it for yourself 🤠
