I first frequented this place more than 13 years ago and i was really impressed with the taste difference they came out with with common offerings like mee goreng, steamed fish and tomyam. Their white tomyam soup is commendable. It is not overly sweet and it teases the palates and the gastrointestinal juices to rumble out of your guts. The ikan tiga rasa (siakap) is fresh, crispy and contains just the right combination of sweet, sour and spicy to warrant my friend to polish it off entirely- without the rice. The kailan ikan masin is a little too salty while the mee goreng is too sweet (overdosed with kicap pekat hitam manis). But overall, the fish made up for the shortcomings of the entire meal. Price is reasonable and the staff are happy to see non-muslims patronising their restaurant. I am from the South - a pure Bangsa Johor and i see unity in diversity the best possible way to enjoy all the delicious foods...
Read moreWe got our food within 10 minutes after ordering. So fast, and food came hot and fresh. Definitely recommended for quick meal. And nice place to hangout because of the ceiling fans. Nice and airy, not stuffy at all.
However, please ignore the waitress’s attitude. Not all of them are rude of course. I can see a few of them quite attentive. But the one that took our order was quite unfriendly. Didn’t greet, didn’t smile, didn’t really look at us while taking order. Just keep on avoiding. So that made us a little uncomfortable. Maybe she was shy? Who knows.
But anyway, come here for the food. Heard their tomyam is nice. I miss kerabu sotong, that’s why we ordered that instead.
Come here for the food and quick service. Don’t expect too much on anything else.
Price wise, acceptable. Though the drinks were way too much. Such a big cup. Food were small in portions. So order bigger portions if you’re...
Read moreVicchuda Tom Yam has been around for more than 15 years now. It serves Thai Cuisine by their cooks from Patani Thailand. I have tried all notable dishes on the menu and I can strongly recommend the restaurant to others. If you are looking for great Patani style prawn in clear/white tom yam, you cannot get it better any where else in Klang Valley or I dare say other states in Peninsular Malaysia. The taste is in the pudding they say. Try it and you will be a believer. Their kailan cooked with salted fish is superb. The variety of steam fish dishes is also good. You will not complain on fried fish cooked in chilli. Also try the prawn fried with turmeric its wonderful. Many were sceptics but after I brought them there they became believers. Give it a try maybe you will become a believer as well. Bon a petit. Note: Parking is really a challenge there unless its you're lucky day. But don't let...
