Considering the price - RM400 for the basic omakase, RM500 for the one just above which just includes a few more varieties of fish - this was an utterly underwhelming experience. Those figures are nett - i.e. inclusive of service tax + GST. It is very important that you factor in that this is not a cheap dining experience, and thus the expectations are therefore higher. The actual quality of the food was not terrible. The highlight was by far the dessert - the honeydew. In fact, it's the best honeydew I've ever had, and I am not exaggerating (although I am not a honeydew connoisseur). Other items that were quite good included the rice bowl (some raw fish mixed with rice and ebiko), some of the nigiri/sushi - such as the tuna belly and toro and. The underwhelming items include the tuna sushi, which is in the bottom left of the plate of nigiri. The texture of the meat was a little chewy/hard and it wasn't easy to bite off (similar to when you're biting on chewy squid). For the price, it's really hard to justify, particularly when you have other decent omakase options around KL which do a much better job. If you have a Maybank card, you may be entitled to some discount so look out for that. It makes the bill a little bit more palatable. I must also point out that the service was particularly noticeable as being a step down compared to other omakases I've tried in KL. It feels less attentive, less personalised, and almost feels like you're just dining at a shopping mall restaurant. This feeling may have been exacerbated because we were not sitting at the sushi counter, and thus had very little direct interaction with the chefs. The atmosphere is quite nice, and it's a really nicely decked out area, although possibly a little impersonal if you're not sitting at the sushi counter. This may be a good or bad thing, depending on what you're after. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it primarily because there is an abundance of better omakase options scattered around KL.

My experience at this restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived until I left, I felt welcomed and pampered by the food and the service. I highly recommend it!! From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for a treat. The entire experience was wonderful, from the delicious food to the attentive service to the charming ambiance. The ambiance of this restaurant is simply fantastic! The cozy atmosphere, soft lighting, and elegant decor create the perfect setting for any special occasion. “The food here is absolutely delicious! Every dish I tried was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. They use the freshest ingredients and make sure each dish is done the right way. I started with the appetizer - the wagyu is just so juicy and tender, then the cod fish and tuna was cooked to perfection luv it!!...Next in the menu I tried was the kaiseki lobsters and it was a delight ..I had the Tempura moriawase as well and it was soft inside and crispy outside... As for the dessert I tried The teppanyaki Yuzu ice cream and it really blew me away!!..It's tangy lemon flavour really made me feel fresh..had never tasted ice cream as delicious as this!!. I have tried mochi before this but was always to my disappoinment.. but when I tried the vanilla Mochi ice cream I will always want for more... for it's mochi was so so soft that it just melted in my mouth.. From appetizers to desserts this restaurant exceeded all my expectations! I was blown away by the service at this restaurant..from the chef to the staff..they were attentive, courteous and polite..they made me feel like a VIP😉...I am so grateful and thankful to Chef Tatsuya Yanagida san, Mr Yeoh, Chef Nazri, Chef Yau and Amirul Anwar..uolz really have given me gud experience ...Kudos to the entire team!!!!...and I looking forward to my next visit...

What an amazing dinner. 9 course omakase menu prepared by Chef Tetsuya Yanagida. Nothing overly complicated. Yana San let the natural flavours of the ingredients speak for itself and supported by the simplest and lightest of seasonings and sauces. The feast began with a palate cleanser of fresh tomatoes which were sweet and crisp to the bite. This was followed by a gindara (cod) jelly infused with some other seasonings and flavours. Small but a good way to tickle the taste buds and get your appetite raring to go. This was followed by a tuna tataki topped with leeks in a very light soy based sauce. Melt in your mouth quality. This was my favourite dish of the night. Then came a clear soup with duck breast and shimeji mushrooms and red peppers. Very light and simple. This was followed by sashimi of salmon belly and yellowtail. Fresh and firm and not even the slightest hint of fishiness. Then came 2 more tuna courses of grilled tuna head meat and collar and a breaded deep fried tuna with a Japanese barbecue sauce. The fish in both courses stayed tender despite the cooking styles. The garlic fried rice that came after was an absolute yummer. Yana San then spiced up our taste buds with a spicy dip (no idea wat it was) and baguette. A simple stirfried shimeji mushroom dish with fried garlic followed. Apart from the omakase menu we also ordered king crab which was steamed and the crab legs meat was placed in a nori sheet with a sauce which Yana San prepared in front of us and served each one of us one by one. Dessert was the perfect end with a palate cleaning yuzu sorbet with mixed fruit and clear jellies. A really really good dinner overall and pretty healthy actually come to think of it. Yana San himself is a really pleasant character and it's obvious he has deep love for what he does.
