Review – Visit on 26 June 2026
We had dinner on 26 June 2026 and were disappointed with the service at the front reception 😕. The lady who attended to us was not friendly and processed the receipt immediately without asking which card we were using. Because of that, we were worried to miss out on a discount that could have been applied 💳❌.
After payment, I asked about collecting Marriott member points, but she didn’t show much interest in assisting. I had to ask twice just to find out how to retrieve the points. Ideally, she should have asked earlier if we were collecting points, as this is standard practice in most Marriott locations 🏨📉.
We understand it was the evening and staff may have been tired, but with the Marriott name and the price we paid 💰, we expected a more welcoming, polite, and customer-focused experience. It wasn’t just me—my partner felt the same way too 🤷♂️🤷♀️.
The food was genuinely good 🍽️—we would rate it 4 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐. Unfortunately, the service experience was poor and deserving of only 1 star ⭐. Therefore, our overall rating is 2 stars ⭐⭐.
We also hope that Marriott ensures member points can still be redeemed if not captured during the visit— as a form was filled through manual submission 📝. Hope this would help to recover points, some value and improve guest satisfaction.

Read moreI recently booked a buffet online, and I must say the reservation and payment process was incredibly smooth and convenient. This gave me high hopes, especially after reading many positive reviews about the place. Unfortunately, the actual experience was far from what I anticipated.
Firstly, the variety of food was surprisingly limited for a buffet, which was quite disappointing. Despite keeping an open mind, the food itself was extremely cold and lacked flavor, with the overall taste being below average. To make matters worse, the drinks were also served cold, forcing us to request the staff to heat them, which shouldn’t have been necessary in the first place.
The arrangements and organization left much to be desired. Tables were not cleared in a timely manner, and the overall atmosphere felt chaotic. What was most disheartening was the behavior of the staff. Instead of focusing on their duties, they were seen chatting and gossiping about customers. This not only came across as unprofessional but also made us feel unwelcome. The staff’s lack of friendliness and willingness to assist only added to the disappointment.
Overall, this experience was deeply unsatisfactory. I had high expectations based on the reviews, but the quality of the food, the service, and the overall ambiance failed to meet even basic standards. It felt like a complete waste of time and money. Chinese cuisine - tasteless Western - other than the roasted chicken and roasted potatoes I’m not sure what I eat. The great seafood bar - really horrible also smells. The daging masak - was rubbery (perhaps the chef can pressure cook the meat first). Sushi - mostly rice I feel they could have done it better. Bubur manis - tasteless can improve Chocolate fountain - disappointing Kuih Muih - okay not bad Cakes - jelly was good and certain cakes is fine (red velvet too dry).
The only food we enjoyed.
Asam pedas fish - perfection taste wise. Indian cuisine - not so heavy is good. Chocolate cake - moist and soft. Carrot cake - is on point (a hint of cinnamon is superb!) Shawarma - only the look of it but taste not there.
Overall will my rating 2.5/5 for a 5 star hotel my expectation was different but I really think the head chef can improve the taste (can taste the food before serve ? Maybe). No hate to anyone but I really feel the kitchen team can do something about it and improvise. Not trying to bring down or tarnish the image or reputation but it’s my honest opinion.
