Breakfast Buffet is recommended! So many other hotel breakfast buffets have disappointed us, initially we were hesitant to try the breakfast buffet in this restaurant. And to our delight, it is very much to our liking. The place is spacious and comfortable, good sanitary and not crowded. We find ourselves looking forward to breakfast on our second night! Their choices of food may seem like other hotels breakfast buffets but tasting them gave us plenty of pleasant surprises! We especially love: 1) the potato wedges and hash brown (tastier and more flavourful than those we have tried before at other places, not too sure why but they taste great!) 2) Kari Ayam (for the Nasi lemak) and Thosai, these are really delicious. Generally their spiced dishes are quite good. 3) Tom Yum Noodle Soup. We recommend the yee mian (deep fried noodles). We still miss the Tom Yum soup taste. 4) and for dessert I love the oatmeal bar. I have not seen such a delicate dessert before in a buffet, didn’t expect much at first, then until my first bite of it, it tasted heavenly. Soft, sweet, coconut, caramel, nuts, aroma, crunch all in perfect combination. I kept going back for more. The above are our personal favourites. We have tasted most of the food, generally they are good. For example simple food like fresh watermelon fruit is sweet and fresh, plenty of choices for your yoghurt, nuts and cereals are fresh and crunchy, different filling choices for your sandwiches etc… If you live nearby or hope to get a nice breakfast buffet treat for yourself, this is the place to go. Do note that the price is cheaper if you are a hotel guest. Well done Utara Restaurant, thank you for making us feel motivated to have hotel breakfast buffet again.

210424 we went for their Hi Tea. 12nn to 3.30pm Plenty of choices of food, Satay were the best, kuih and cakes were very tasty too. Prawns with cheese were fresh and tasty but difficult to dig out which inside the sauce. Rojak was tasty too. Teh Tarik not bad. Although we can't eat everything but enjoyed our gathering here. 310824 we went here again, food many varieties. The best part was that when they put on Negara Lagu, all people stand up immediately and sing along. 241224 we went here again, more food and more varieties. Santa Clause came to gave us presents and Christmas song was on. We really enjoyed our food and chit chat here until 4.10pm. 160925 we went again for Hi Tea at $62@ Food decorations were great, but this time Pandan leave Chicken and Satay Chicken meat seems over toast , quite hard to bite, sauce was tasty. Rendang Kambing Tok meat very chewy too. Curry Chicken meat over cooked too. Jagung bubur was very odd. Red bean tong shui or bubuchacha will be much better choice for most of us. Prawns not fresh too. The fun part was that they put on Negara Lagu again and distribute each person a glass of Purple ice drink , but taste very hard to get what drink it was.

Visit here on a Saturday night for pre-CNY dinner buffet. More chinese theme dishes in the spread of mains such as steamed taukan with black mushroom, dried oyster and fat choy, and roast tong kwai duck. Meat items were savoury and tender, not chewy...roast lamb, pan fried lamb, braised beef short ribs, steamed chicken, etc. Ample spread of seafood ...steamed fish, fresh oysters and prawns, fried prawns in salted egg, asam pedas fish, baby squid, etc. The tang yuan (glutinous rice balls) with black sesame paste filling were gingery sweet and well done. However, the cakes, pastries and kuih, although looked yummy, but can be improved in terms of better ingredients, freshness and texture. Staff service is good and efficient. Overall, one of the better dinner buffets I have come across in the Klang valley in terms of taste and flavour of the food.
