After more than a year since my first visit at Yue, I feel like I have to drop some additional words about them. We were here this time for my wife's birthday dinner. Once again, the vegetarian/vegan dishes are fabulous. The chef may be master in cantonese cuisine, but he and his team have more extensive recipes and techniques in other cuisines. When one reading through their menu, it’s not hard to find there are dishes with Sichuan or Hakka cookings. Time and again, Jacquelyn and her team has always been so hospitable and welcoming. They elevate further the whole experience.
Furthermore, the hotel’s pastry team has made us a top of the class vegan chocolate cake. That’s mesmerising. And Jacquelyn made it memorable for us by taking a picture of us and printer it out for us soon after. A big thank you for everything.
The Braised Bean Curd with Eggplant served in a Claypot, Stir-Fried Vegetarian Glutinous Rice in Lotus Leaf, Stir-Fried Lotus Root with Asparagus and Lily Bulb, Osmanthus Jelly are highly recommended.

Read moreAn elegant restaurant that serves food using quality ingredients. Peking Duck has crispy skin but less tasty & saltish meat hence it's best to have it stir fry with ginger & scallion as per their recommendations and it a must to go with their first wrap dish consisting off egg, cucumber, spring onion, bread and sweet & osmentheues sauce that is really flavourful & filling. Fried noodle with duck was oily & average. Braised rice with duck has an interesting soup taste (slight fragrance & a pinch of sourness probably from mui choy). Smoke salmon Yee Sang was nice, however it has a lingering fishy taste probably because it was not kept cool enough or taken out too early before Lou Sang that hamper the freshness. Abalone with Black Chicken soup is average, it's mild in taste but it uniquely carries a light shark fin soup flavour. Fried Chicken with Sesame is nice, skin is medium crispy but the sesame taste is infused into it. Grouper is nice & is well prepared cutting into individual portions with abalone, carrot & mushroom slice. Oyster, fish maw broccoli is slightly tough for the first two, better if it's made to melt in your mouth. Prawn with truffle sauce is nice as taste is well balanced. Fried rice with shrimp was simply bland. Mango Pomelo pudding was average but the Fried Roll dessert with red bean was nice as it played on crispy and soft texture while having sufficient flavour. Service was good but can be improved, as waiters stand outside corridors blocking the path to the toilet rather that at tables monitoring customers need hence at times you just see them come in upon change of dishes to clear plates when guest having finish eating, more of a robotic service rather than personalised service. But the captain & 1 senior staff was more attentive to the customer need...
Read moreHad experience dined in here. Truly impressed me with both its food and exceptional service. The moment I walked in, the staff greeted us warmly, setting a welcoming tone for the evening.
The menu featured a fantastic array of traditional dishes. Started with a tasty Shanghai Hot and Sour Soup with Seafood, followed by the crispy Fried French Bean with Salted Egg, which were perfectly fried and packed with flavor. For the main course, we opted for the Braised Grouper Fillet with Preserved Vegetables and Szechuan Peppercorn, Deep Fried Prawns with Black Truffle Buttermilk Sauce, Steamed Boneless Chicken Thai Style served in a Claypot, Yue Fried Rice with Shrimps, BBQ Chicken and Fish Roe, which was a delightful mix of tender chicken and a perfect balance of spice. The portion sizes were generous, and everything was beautifully presented.
What stood out most was the attentive service by Ms Jacquelyn Angeline Yu Yang Sean. She is truly knowledgeable about the menu, offering recommendations and ensuring our dining experience was enjoyable. She checked in at just the right moments, making sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive.
Overall, this restaurant combines delicious food with outstanding hospitality, making it a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Chinese cuisine. We can't wait to return and explore more of...
