Verdict: Embracing a life filled with endless pasta-bilities at Nicholes Cakery 😍💕 A new affordable casual Western Fusion find at Damansara Jaya that had me leaving deeply satisfied. The vibes were as homely as you'd expect and the selection of food were mainly produce focused, bringing in the flavours of the East & West. 😌
Where do I begin?! EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING GUYS 😍😍😮💨 I swear I’m not overreacting!! Food was top notch, presentation and quality deserve 5 stars and lastly the taste was mind blowing 🤯❤️ IT WAS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE 🥹
The dish that stood out the most was the Indochina Chicken Burger which was inspired by Nicholes’ travelling trips ✈️ Simply an irresistible combination — a hulking slab of patty embraced by buttery and fluffy buns. Everything is plus-sized. The photogenic cross-section featured vivacious slaw blooming like fireworks in the night sky, layered over a lavish mound of lettuce. 😚🍔
The Green Curry Tagliatelle was a stunner 😍🇹🇭 The best fusion dish I have ever tasted. I loved their handmade pasta as it was cooked al dente and it soaked up the green curry really well 💚 You can even choose how you did like your pasta to be cooked (extra soft / hard). I went for the standard one which was 2 mins and I loved it ❤️ The green curry itself was so aromatic and rich in flavour 😍 Those elegant strands of pastas were pristine in al dente bite while a chilli kick slowly intensified with every mouth 🫦 Don’t forget to add on the chicken fillet which was tender and succulent. A lavishly meaty and saucy affair that won't disappoint.
Their steak and mushroom pie was sensational. I have been on a quest to find the best pie in town and Nicholes is the winner 🏆 Fall apart, ultra tender chunks of beef, bursts of fresh mushroom smothered in the most incredible gravy and topped with flaky, golden puff pastry 🥹 What more could you ask for in life? They were really generous with their filling and I love the pastry layer so much!! The gravy given by the side for the pie and roast potatoes were also extremely delicious. I reckon their Roast Chicken would taste amazing since the gravy itself hits the spot ⭐️ Non foodies will find it hard to understand the elation you feel when you taste something that is this good. But with this Chunky Beef and Mushroom Pie, with just one bite, you know it’s a step up from the usual pie. You may not be able to put your finger on it, but you know there’s something different about it – just better. 😉
Ofc we had to order their pastries and cakes which definitely didn’t disappoint. 🍰 Loved the Turkey bacon cheese scone which was light and airy (less dense than normal ones), making it the perfect appetiser or teatime delicacy. Pair it with their homemade garlic butter for that extra umami kick to elevate the whole experience. 🙌🏻
This is the sort of food that makes me do the happy dance. Literally. I took a massive spoonful and was jumping up and down with glee. It was everything I had hoped it would be, and more. 🥰 Thank you Nicholes Cakery for serving wholesome food - my tummy is blessed with such hearty dishes 🙈 Not forgetting the hospitable service and kindness shown to us when we...

Many times I've passed by this quaint cafe everytime I was in DJ neighbourhood but I never thought to drop by until Chris Chin, whom I believe the owner, dropped me a message. I finally made my way there early in the morning when they had just opened for business.
The cafe was quiet and serene, literally empty when I walked in but the breakfast crowds started trickling in not long after that. Soon the whole cafe became more jovial and livelier with chatters and laughter among friends and families.
◾Breakfast at Nichole's at RM29 consists of a big plate with chicken sausage, turkey bacon, chicken ham, sauteed mushroom, eggs, salad and two slices of daily homemade bread. Sunny side ups were done perfectly and the chicken sausage didn't taste generic. If there were things that they can improve on - 1) do not overcook the bacon (it's too tough even for me), and 2) amount of mushroom could be a little bit more. ◾We had two (2) of their cheesy toasty - roast chicken and tunaverse (their interpretation of tuna melt). Gotta say that their bread was one of the better ones out there - generous amount of fillings for both toasties were given. It would be perfect if the cheese used in the tunaverse was not as strong & pungent (the daughter commented on this), and I'm not sure if the same cheese was used in the other toasty. Roast chicken's cheddar cheese tasted better. ◾When the missus actually said the coffee was nice, I gotta had one myself - and agreed with her! ◾I spotted their quiche and savoury scones among their offerings. Looks good so perhaps I would try them next time.
It was puasa month during my visit, so understandably the service was a bit slow. Luckily we were first ones to order or the waiting time will be longer. But still the service crews tried their best to serve everyone, and this I...
Read moreWe were around the area & tryna find a place to have breakfast after morning errands. Found this place from Google Maps & it was perfect morning! We came 9:30am, ordered omelette aux tomate, plain croissant with butter, matcha latte, salted caramel latte and soup of the day (mushroom puree with 30% fatty cream) total everything about Rm65± which is reasonable as I find the food here delicious and very fulfilling. Omelette so fluffy but I would prefer a lil more seasoning & veg on our plate so fresh, crunchy, juicy, sweet. My mom so impressed with the dish that she never thought tomato can be this good. Delicious soup, buttery & flakey croissant. Mom's latte was good and she's very particular with her coffee 😂. Matcha latte also good, honestly taste just like ones I tasted that 3x the price 🤐. This cafe is very wholesome, something about owner's children around the store, and clutter around behind the scene feels realistic. This place is pork-free and they serve alcoholic cake so choose your food wisely for people with restricted diet.
Room for improvement: Prepare proper soup spoon for soup rather than big table spoon. Marker label on glass window chiller display is hard to read especially when it written big & thin, lighting from background, etc. Place food label on baked goods & cakes that easy to read. Marker label is fun & colourful but not so...
