11 June 2024 Sorry for the confusion caused as my posts were current at time of posting & promotions during the periods mentioned. However they all got jumbled up & unfortunately I didn't have the time to delete some of those long past promotions.
Just added 4 photos of your Ocean's Treasures promotions for May & June 2024 yesterday & they got mixed up in the middle of the whole lot. Sorry for the inconvenience caused. I have been a regular customer of your restaurant since almost day one & do bring a number of friends & business associates to enjoy your culinary expertise & the ambience, especially of the renovated private function rooms. Unfortunately, due to various factors I have not been able to patronise your restaurant since your dim sum promotion 2 months' back. Most of your long serving senior staff should know me.
Delicious Chinese Cuisine at affordable prices, in lush environment and good ambiance. The Dim Sum is especially sumptuous, including many dishes such as Har Kow and Siew Mai with succulent prawns that you can actually savour. Not only that, some of their items cannot be found elsewhere, like their crispy skin Char Siew Pow (caramelised pork bun). To top it all, they have a current promotion for CIMB credit and debit cardholders of a 50% discount on all Dim Sum items until September 2020! The discount for others is at 30% They have quite an extensive Chinese Cuisine menu for casual dining as well as special menus for specific occasions, such as Annual Dinners and Weddings. Currently they also have promotional prices on their Beijing duck and Sang Har Mee (fresh water prawn noodles). Individual rooms are available for private dining groups and these rooms are lushly decorated with karaoke facilities and some with private wash rooms attached. They have personalised service with individual serving staff, who are quite polite & attentive, to attend to you in each of the dining rooms. At an adjoining Event Hall, they can cater up to 100 tables, as they did for Chinese New Year eve reunion dinners recently. Parking is not a problem in the Mall, and the Mall is within walking distance from Lembah Subang and Ara Damansara LRT stations.
Due to the current CMCO, where less people are dining out, Peninsula has come out with some great takeaway menus at promotional prices, which are much cheaper than dine in prices. View the promotions in the latest photos posted.
For the month of October 2021 they have a special promotion on dim sum with offers of RM6.80++ per basket Mondays to Sundays till 3pm daily. Not forgetting they have a special 1 day offer of RM101.00++ for a Hainanese chicken rice set (for 5 persons) on Sunday 10 October 2021. Read moreI may seem over exaggerated in this “one” review but perhaps hear my side of the explanation before judging so. This is a very common thing in China’s restaurants and food establishments but it is definitely a first for me. I was asked to recommend a restaurant to hold a celebration with 26 odd members of our family. Most of the restaurants that I know off are normally offering a room with three or two tables ( the privacy is what’s’ matters) but the surprise request was for a private room but with one table seating to host up to 30 pax. Was scratching my head until we decided to ask someone whom does a lot of entertainment or hosting company events and eventually this name came up. Was not to intrigued when the address appeared in our search ( Evolve mall was once quite popular but lately it seems a rather “dead” mall with next to no activities). We did the unthinkable and went a head to book the facilities. Much to our surprise that this restaurant was still very active and probably due to a wedding booking and plus it’s a weekend of long holiday too. I honestly think that this mall is staying afloat mainly because of this restaurant. However my review is definitely more about their food as well as the table that fits 30 pax’s. The coming CNY reunion dinner will definitely have this restaurant imbedded in my head as the table is just impressive and massive. The food which I’m more into sprang a memorable experience for me in particular. The must mentioned dish is definitely the roast duck which is not any of that you will find else where, how’s black truffles infused roast duck for you( a must order fish if you dine here). The starter was excellent in taste as well as presentation but the prawns was absolutely stunning. I think it was sambal mixed with assam jawa. The after taste was just unforgettable. The fish is perhaps the disappointing dish and it’s probably the choice of fish. Another dish that stayed in my mind was the Hong Siew paw yu ( braised abalone with shiitake and button mushrooms). I believed it’s from a good quality dried abalone that braised for a good few hours because the texture was just silky soft and tender. So if I rate this place as it is , now you see why!! I’m definitely am Coming back for our next...
Read moreCame here for a company CNY lunch, we ordered a few dishes -Siew Mai & Har Gao was delicious -We had 2 kinds of soup chicken scallop soup and a vegetarian soup. Chicken soup was not bad, but the vegetarian soup was served with 2 different standards. My colleague got her soup with quite mild flavours. Mine taste like plain water with vegetables. Requested for a change which they made a new one that tasted nicer. But still question remains on their standards and who is checking the food before serving. -Pecking duck was soso a bit on the dry side but still acceptable. -The Iberico Pork was quite tough but flavour wise it was really nice. -The steamed fish was an utter dissapointment as you would expect fresh fish for the price that they were charging. But after complaining that the fish was not fresh and asking them if it was fresh, they informed us that it was chilled. Please please think about that answer. Chilled or frozen? Chilled fish lasts not more than 2-3 days in the chiller. Stock / inventory is questionable. You can get fresh fish from other places for the same price, if not cheaper. -The vegetables was pretty good. -Tofu was also quite interesting and full of flavour. -BBQ Pork Buns were AMAZING! Highly recommended. -The Kung Pao vegetarian pork ribs tasted not too bad, but they used broken chopsticks as the "fake bone". Could use sugarcane instead or broken chopsticks. -Ordered mango sago & red bean tang yuen for dessert. We were pre-informed that the redbean would take 30minutes. Which we said okay. After 55 minutes, both desserts were still not served. To which we cancelled the red bean as they said the mango sago would be coming out already. Mango sago was quite nice and sweet.
Overall, would I come back? No. Food quality & standard is really bad. Especially for the price that they are charging. The amount that you are paying for, you would...
