I been patronising Soon Hing for many years but never write a review. I wish to write something good because I truly find the Wanton Noodles was delicious. Unfortunately, my recent visit I ordered Char Siew and Duck Breast Dry Wanton Noodles. Sad to say, the Char Siew served was cut into half which when sent to my table, I did not realised. Until I dug in and discovered the Char Siew was cut into half. It same goes to Duck Breast, we got all the corner debris that arranged nicely. The worst thing was, I ordered an add on of Roasted Pork at RM7 per plate, and the Roasted Pork was cut into a super mini size as if it is for kid age around 3 to 4 years old. I did not complain on the spot, thinking maybe the owner trying to cut cost. However, when I paid and I asked the cashier how the Char Siew being served when ordered with Wanton Noodles then she told me one plate of 7 pieces is standard. I then showed her I got 7 pieces but all been cut into half. Then she tried to deny her foreign worker gave me half. She went to the foreign worker and asked him to chop a plate of Char Siew, the staff chopped the standard cutting which I got throughout many years patronising at Soon Hing. Then I showed the photo to all other foreign workers they saw my Char Siew being cut into half. I confronted the cashier again and told her when the Chinese Sifu cut those meat, I never encountered 偷工减料. However, this foreign worker is very cunning. I wonder if he puts in his mouth another half portion of Char Siew. From this experience, I realised I can no longer trust their foreign worker. If the Chinese Sifu not the one who cut those meat, I rather walk out from this restaurant. Poor service attitude because the cashier kept defending the foreign worker. But the other foreign workers can admit that the Char Siew served to me was cut into half. On that day, I planned to buy a whole duck but by looking at the foreign worker, I felt scary that he will cheat again by giving me less. Very dishonest foreign worker. First time encountered this bad experience, looks like I have to look for new place to eat Wanton Noodles. Owner: Please train your foreign worker to be honest when cutting meat and served with honesty. Train your cashier who is also rude and not apologetic. No customer service at all. The cashier asked me what you want, what you want in angry tone, at first I just wanted to feedback because of her angry tone, I told her I want back the half portion she owed me. Then the sample cutting Char Siew was given to me as a compensation. But it was really a bad experience talking to a rude cashier who defended her foreign worker who...

Our Visits: Wed 28 Feb 2024: We embarked on an early breakfast escapade from our cozy staycation home in PJ. Our taste buds yearned for the famed roast duck noodles, but alas, the BBQ duck wasn't quite ready. Undeterred, my wife opted for the roast pork belly dry wan tan noodles, while I indulged in the char siew wan tan noodles. Both dishes were satisfyingly decent. And what better way to kickstart our day than with a steaming cup of energizing Milo Kosong?

Read moreAlright guys, keep the critical reviews going: not high to make it crowded, just enough to keep it afloat.
This is one of our usual weekday lunch, a peng-leng-jeng (lit. "cheap, beaut, great" in Cantonese) option outside shopping malls nearby. It satisfies our wantan mee craving nicely.
Remember to customise to your need: there are choices for meat parts/lean/fatty, more or less oil/ice/sweetness. The staff are trained to speak in Cantonese, they're probably better than your banana friends out there (no offense, just buck up 😋)
It's adequately cooled and most people eating here are normal adults. For the record, I give them 5 stats for keeping up good local kopitiam ambience, not French fine dining...
