Went there for Mother's day celebration, reserved a table online via their website - it's quick and easy, so do reserve online if you'd like to secure a spot during peak hours. They are very responsive via WhatsApp as well 👍 customer service experience was great overall.

Moving on to the food. I would say it tastes much better than I expected. I was a little intimidated by the idea of such a porky, meaty meal and was worried that the food would taste too salty or too heavy to my liking, but it was surprisingly cooked and seasoned very well that it tastes balanced. The water provided is also infused with lemon juice to cleanse your palate and lighten your taste buds, which is thoughtful.

Crispy Siew Yuk (7.5/10) Like all the other reviewers have mentioned, the portion is indeed small. But the flavour is great! I love the crispy skin the most, and the meat cut is a good balance of fat and meat. The chili has a tinge of kick and pairs well with it. But would I order it again? Probably not.

Grilled Pancetta (10/10) My favourite dish! The Pancetta has a smokey flavour to it which I really like. It pairs really well with the mashed potato, so if you're ordering, do get mashed potatoes as the side. I have no complaints about this dish. Still thinking about it 🤤 can't wait to go back and taste it again.

Beer Battered Barramundi Fish and Chips (6/10) HUGE portion. But I personally find nothing special about it. I like the fries alot though, it's crispy and chunky, every bite is filled with potato. Also, I do think their tartar sauce is amazing, I would order it just to eat with the fries. The fish itself is fresh but I personally think it was just okay, it's nice to eat with tartar sauce and a squeeze of lemon so that you don't feel too greasy. Would not reorder.

Deluxe Cheese Ring (10/10) My second favourite dish! You've got to order this. The sausage is so juicy the juices just oozes out in your mouth as you chew it. Pair it with the mustard sauce drizzled on the plate and it will wow you with flavours. Was a little skeptical about eating sausages in a restaurant but this changed my mind completely. Would definitely reorder!

The Butcher's Table has been growing from strength to strength, first opening in SS2 and now they have expanded their wing to Pavilion KL, Sri Hartamas, Ipoh and Penang. I still like going back to their original SS2 outlet due to its location. One can easily tuck into their food in a casual dining environment.

◾wild mushroom soup with toast - always soup before food. ◾tomato soup with toast - the daughter wanted this and who am I to deprive her? She gave thumb up. ◾Johnsonville sausage which was their smoky jumbo sausage imported from the US - so long it had to be rolled in circle, grilled and served with mustard sauce ◾pork Bolognese bruchetta - it was like an upgrade with loads of protein smothered with tomato based sauce and then topped on bread. ◾Char siew - special and not available everyday. A little bit too sweet to my liking but still competently done with melt-in-the-mouth texture ◾Bacon fried rice - who could ever resist bacon? And on top of it they throw in telur mata kerbau. Lacked wok hei but made up with its flavour. ◾aglio olio with mushroom - there's pork option too but since we'd ordered so much meat, we settled for meatless pasta. Still tasty though. ◾Iberico shoulder collar with sauerkraut - I chose from the display glass cabinet itself and they prepared it right away. ◾Australian lamb rack with green salad - medium-done and paired well with my St Emillon Grand Cru ◾GRILLED PANCETTA - why the capital letters? Because it was darn good.. that's why! Tasted just like bacon - grilled perfectly with that smoky and savoury taste to it. I could just eat this alone.. ◾US Pork Shoulder Chop with brown sauce, mixed vege and fries - simply love the fat layer on top. Good enough on its own although it came with brown sauce. ◾TOMAPORK - this is the pig's answer to the beef's tomahawk. Please order this if you love your porcine! One thick slab grilled just right that could easily feed a small family of 4-5.

Poor customer service, would give 0 star if I could

I have been a regular customer at Butcher’s Table since 2020. However, our dining experience was disappointing to say the least and today was the day that I felt that their customer service has drastically dropped and changed over time.

This awful experience happened because they missed our order. We understand that this is a normal occurrence to most restaurants, but it’s their attitude towards this mishap that made our experience extremely disappointing. I requested to cancel the order since it was missed and everyone was already finishing their meal, the waiter first apologised and guaranteed the meal would be out in 5 minutes. However, this was a total lie as the meal was not even out after 20 minutes. As my companions have finished their meal, I made the decision to cancel the order with the female boss as I have waited too long for my meal. And what a disappointment of how they responded to my request.

The female boss had a very arrogant and rude attitude towards the issue. She did not even apologize after further clarification with her staff and only asked the staff to bring the just made Pan-seared Salmon back to the kitchen. I felt that my complaint was disregarded and of non-importance to her. However, it is common customer service courtesy to apologize if you or your staff have made a mistake. But, it appears that this is not applicable to them. This experience made me feel that I was in the wrong despite me waiting for my meal for 45 minutes and having to look at my companions finishing up their meal whilst I was waiting for mine the whole time.

As a regular customer for few years, it was disappointing to say the least how their customer service changed. I would have rated them as 0 star if I could. But I needed to rate at least 1 star to bring...
