The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Jaya One — Restaurant in Petaling Jaya

I ordered the Swedish Berries drink when I visited for the first time, it just tasted so artificial like those instant tea powder, not to mention the barista didn't even ask me if I wanted to have it with sugar, in the end I got a tasteless tea powder drink from them. One of the guys speaks in an arrogant and condescending manner with the customers, seems to be a supervisor or manager who bosses the other baristas around, please take note on your customer service. I ordered a Green Tea Latte this time around, and it just tasted like the barista used an instant green tea powder to make it, there were still lumps of undissolved Matcha powder that I thought was chocolate chips for a second. The baristas need more training in customer service and in making drinks for us, as well as an improvement in your drinks quality. The drinks are quite pricey and I expect a higher quality with the price that is...

I was never a coffee lover but i’ve been hearing so much good reviews on the coffee bean’s bagel so i visited Coffee bean Jaya One recently.

Yes, the bagel was great! You know how bagels are usually chewy but this was a perfect balance btw soft chewy interior and a slightly crispy exterior with that slight heat from the jalapeno. It was densed enough to be satisfying but not too heavy - ughh lurve!

I also had their iced chocolate, suggested by the supervisor (i think) Mr Khairul. Grateful to be served by a person with good knowledge of the menu, especially when i was unsure of what to order. The ice chocolate is SO GOOD, chocolatey, sweet, creamy, smooth, oh god i’d come again for this. Thank you for the recommendation!

I come here quite often since theyre nearby so I thought id give them a review.

Love the Homemade Chicken Pie. Pastry was light and flaky, filling was hot and satisfyingly savoury. Definitely my favourite food item from coffee bean. The Choc Chip Muffin makes for a good dessert. For a full meal, I'd go for the Smoked Duck Aglio Olio.

For drinks, I'd recommend Swedish Berries Cold Brew Tea, without sugar. Super refreshing and guilt free.

Can't comment on the coffee since I'm not a coffee lover, but they have a wide selection of teas so you wont get bored.

Service is consistently fast. The staff here get orders done pretty quick, quite impressive.

Good place to come work on your laptop or just unwind for a bit in a relaxing environment.

Definitely would recommend. The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf remains my favourite cafe...
