⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Authentic Thai Cuisine at Its Best – A Must-Visit Spot!
Visited the newly opened Yak Yim Thai Kitchen (2nd branch) in Taman Bukit Emas, which started operations on 15 May 2025, and I must say – it exceeded expectations on every level!
🌿 Ambience: The restaurant embraces a minimalistic Thai-inspired decor that’s both calming and welcoming. The space is clean, hygienic, and thoughtfully arranged. The soft background Thai music adds a touch of authenticity and makes the dining experience feel like a quick trip to Thailand.
😊 Staff: The service was exceptional. The staff were friendly, attentive, and humble – always ready to assist with a smile. Food was served promptly, and the staff took time to explain the menu to us, which was very helpful for first-time diners.
🍲 Food & Beverages: The menu is extensive with something for everyone! We loved the appetisers, chicken and pork dishes, spicy and flavourful Thai salads, fresh fish, and a heartwarming Tom Yum soup. The vegetable dishes were equally impressive – full of flavour yet light. Don’t miss out on their traditional Thai drinks – refreshing and the perfect complement to the meal.
💸 Price: Very affordable for the quality and portion sizes. Great value for money, especially considering the authenticity and taste of the food.
🌟 Overall: If you're looking for authentic Thai cuisine in a comfortable setting with great service and affordable prices, Yak Yim Thai Kitchen (Taman Bukit Emas) is a definite must-visit. So glad they’ve expanded – can’t wait to...
Read moreYak Yim is easily one of the best Thai restaurants I've found in the SS25 area, delivering an experience that is authentic, flavorful, and beautifully presented. This isn't just great food; it’s Thai cuisine done with passion and attention to detail.
We were completely blown away by the quality of every dish we ordered. The Crispy Fried Morning Glory (Pak Boong Tod Krob) was a revelation—perfectly light, crispy, and not greasy at all, served with a tangy dipping sauce that made it addictive. It's a must-order!
The main courses were equally exceptional. The Grilled Marinated Meat (the sliced pork or beef, I suspect their Moo Yang) was tender, deeply marinated, and smoky, sitting on a beautiful bed of fresh greens. And the Cashew Nut Chicken (Gai Pad Med Mamuang) was spot on, striking the perfect balance between sweet, savory, and spicy, loaded with crunchy cashew nuts and crisp vegetables. The presentation of the dishes, particularly the beautifully carved carrot flower, shows a true dedication to the dining experience.
The service was prompt and friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, making it perfect for a casual lunch or dinner. If you're looking for high-quality, authentic Thai flavors that truly stand out, Yak Yim should be your next stop. We will absolutely be back to try the rest...
