Cookies, Bread, Cold Brew, Hot Chocolate and the cafe vibe ... at @doudou_bake #malaysia Dou Dou Bake is making a scene in the cafe hopping community for the past few months combining awesome cafe experience with lush green garden 🪴.... they made it happened 🤟 We only managed to order their bread n butter which is toasty and tasty .. it’s a perfect toasted sourdough bread, butter, sea salt and spices. We love it 🥰! We also had their Matcha cookie 🍪 and chocolate chunk sea salt cookie 🍪.. which were heavenly 😋. For the drinks we ordered their .. - Single Origin Chocolate , this drink is rich in chocolate 🍫, creamy goodness ! - Cold brew, which is brew from Kenya roasted bean. It fruity and sourish which is not bad too. Do go early so you can taste their other pastries, we heard their croissants 🥐 are the bomb 💣!! Brunching at @doudou_bake #malaysia Let’s dive into the review shall we...(pics according to the carousel) 1) Dou Dou Breakfast- made of toasty sourdough, scramble egg, toasted tomato/king oyster mushroom , greens, avocado and chicken chipolata . It’s definitely a big breakkie/lunchie... everything combine was a harmony . Juicy mushrooms , tomato and chicken chipolata... creamy avocado and awesome scramble egg 😋 2) Dou Dou Bun - made of any bun (we picked lotus bun), sunny side up 🍳, turnkey ham. This was considered light , but it didn’t disappoint for sure. The salted and lotus paste on the bun was tasty, sweet and savoury combo with the 🍳. Amazing 🤩!! 3) Small Dou Breakfast - made of sourdough with caramelised grapefruit, greens, toasted king oyster mushroom, tomato, honeycomb, @milkywheycheese . The “small” naming maybe deceiving, this is not small at all. Packed with quality ingredients like the citrusy of grapefruit, sweetness of honeycomb, cheese , juicy tomato and mushroom.. what a stellar experience 🌌 4) Grilled Cheese Sandwich - made of sourdough with local made cheese and some greens . Simple yet impactful 🥪, the cheese has a bitter after-taste which was fun to eat it with the toasty sourdough. Good to try 😋 5) Danish - Pastry with mixed berries , custard cream , flaky texture!! Tasty 😋 6) Morning Citrus Bun - sweet, citrusy, flaky and fun. Not bad 👍 7) Pain Au Jambon - a type of croissant with stuffed smoked ham and cheese. Flakiness checked! March 16, 2024 @ 1406H This place has attracted me for some time and I'm finally managed to check it out on my own. I guess most of their patrons got attracted by their pastry, sourdough and coffee but I'm attracted by the landscape especially Pennisetum alopecuroides, and Setaria viridis. Types of sitting available are 1) along the Floor- to- ceiling window zone, more sunlight and great view of the beautiful landscape 2) along the bar table, Nearest to the barista, seeing the barista in action. 3) the sofa area, The comfy and more privacy zone. 4) the wooden table and chairs area Center of the cafe, less privacy My favourite sitting is seatings along the Floor-to -ceiling window zone. They used a wood surface as their tabletop for this zone of seatings. I was very happy because I got my favourite seating option. Isn't that a lucky day?! Big crowd in the café upon my arrival, waited for about 10-15minutes. Good enough time  for a hand wash,  washroom rest, and some outdooor landscape photo shooting. Plenty of chairs are prepared outside the cafe while we're queueing into the cafe. This is not a quiet cafe, the indoor noise level could be quite high, I guess it's a common problem to cafe with more glasses walls surfaces, lacking sound absorbing materials. However, it doesn't affect myself much while I need to talk to my friend. Love their waiters and waitress VERY MUCH for their smile, good service, observation, patience, politeness, helpfulness and friendliness. Saw some artistic decor below the ceiling which I don't really understand, I guess it could be some see through PET plastic material. We ordered, Ethiopia dale sidama Oat milk latte Eggs on toast with sourdough They served me pretty fast with my oat milk latte. The Ethiopia dale sidama took longer time to be prepared. I saw the barista, almost used all senses he had to check the coffee before sending to us. He smell, he tastes, he sees several time, making sure all good. Wow, so much of work for a cup of coffee. While Ethiopia dale sidama is served to our table, a bag of coffee beans are sent along for reference. We had a glance and also a smell of the coffee bean. Wanted to ask some coffee related question but I don't want to trouble them at busy times. To the eggs on toast, The rocket plant and basil leaves salad dressing with a hint of tanginess and zest of lemon is great to myself. Wish to come back again.

There's a reason why it's gotten less than stellar ratings on Google Maps. Pastries are good but prices are steep. Staff aren't attentive nor friendly as most come here for pastry and hype, not great service. Especially one of the female staff behind the counter with a mole under her left eye. Did not get a pleasant vibe from her the entire time we were there. A major redflag about this place—it's infested with houseflies. These flies were all over the pastries and cakes. My family was placing an order when they saw the fly enjoying a hearty meal on the pastry and no amount of shoo-ing from the staff worked. When a male staff wanted to remove the pastry from the counter, said female staff with mole shook her head. Luckily the other staffs went ahead and removed the pastry. That inspired very little confidence if that's her attitude. She also took a fly swatter to swat a fly right next to the customer at the window seatings. I'm honestly appalled. The pastries are good, but I didn't pay for fly infested food. The pastries may be reheated before serving, but it's not reheated at a temperature that's high enough, nor for a long duration to actually sanitize the pastry of germs from the fly. As I'm writing this review, the staffs brought out tea candles and placed a few around the pastries. Honestly not sure what good that's gonna do. Also, please avoid the cakes and cream puffs. Those don't get reheated. The flies get free reign and I'm literally looking at the flies making the cake their playground. Best part? The cake is right next to the cashier where there's a staff around. And no one is acknowledging the fly on the cake. Hello? Earth to staff? Would I recommend it? Only if you like flies and pastries, in that particular combo. And potential food poisoning. Drinks are so-so and there's better options in town.

This place has attracted me for some time and I'm finally managed to check it out on my own.

I guess most of their patrons got attracted by their pastry, sourdough and coffee but I'm attracted by the landscape especially Pennisetum alopecuroides, and Setaria viridis.

Types of sitting available are

  1. along the Floor- to- ceiling window zone,

  1. along the bar table,

Nearest to the barista, seeing the barista in action.
