good atmosphere. might be a bit understaffed but we were served well. food was generally warm.

ordered mushroom soup which came closer to room temp. i understand that soups werent made to order but they could at least warm it up some more.

Lamb chop was a bit too sweet but the black pepper sauce saved it. loved the mashed potato that came with. the food came literally less than 10minutes which was nice. though it did indicate the lamb might have been prepared well in advance and is warmed to order. it arrived on our table warm, not as if it was freshly cooked. as my partner's food hasnt arrived, we just waited while the food got cold in the airconditioned room. maybe a fault on my part as i shouldve requested them to serve the main courses together or at least asked them to reheat my food.

chicken parm was great! still crispy. so were the fries and the sauce that came with. the portico salad was good too. liked the dressing.

We arrived 15 minutes ahead of our stipulated booking time. Upon entering, we were greeted demurely by one of the waitresses. We were ushered to our table and the menu was brought out soon after.

They offer a huge range of dishes that should placate most of your cravings, from poultry to seafood or even some Middle Eastern cuisines if you fancy some. We ordered the lamb and chicken chop.

When the dishes arrived, we were taken aback by the portion, it was HUGE! For those of you who are cost savvy, you'll love the amount they provide here. The food itself was positively delectable. The chicken was cooked to a nice juicy crunch while the lamb, tender and flavourful. The only letdown was the mashed potato. The texture was far from smooth and flavour wise, it could use a bit more butter and salt.

My beloved and I will definitely come back here for another bite when there's a special occasion. Those of you who love Western food should definitely give this...

Not often I eat western style food in kuching, and it's the first time I have visited Portico.

I went lunch time, so no crowd, hence no atmosphere. That's not a problem for me, I enjoy quiet.

The food was ok, not the best but slightly better than average.

My disappointment was the service. Everything was perfectly fine until food arrived, or should I say some of the food. When 2 people walk into a restaurant together, sit down together, and order together, they would be expecting to eat together. Why then does one meal arrive 15 minutes before the other meal?

If you are charging restaurant prices, please provide restaurant experience. If you are providing coffee shop experience, then charge coffee...
