Muzium Sejarah Cina, Sarawak is a fascinating museum that provides visitors with an in-depth look at the rich and varied history of the Chinese people in Sarawak. The museum features a wide range of exhibits, including artifacts, photographs, and other items that showcase the culture, traditions, and history of the Chinese community in the region.

One of the highlights of the museum is the display of traditional Chinese costumes, which are beautifully crafted and provide a glimpse into the fashion and style of the past. Visitors can also explore exhibits on the history of Chinese migration to Sarawak, the role of Chinese merchants in the local economy, and the various cultural practices and traditions that have been passed down through the generations.

I went here when I was studied at Sarawak back then. This place is like a palace of China's King. From statues up to games culture of Chinese, you can find there.

The Chinese History Museum in Sarawak is a fascinating glimpse into the rich cultural heritage of the Chinese community in Malaysia. The museum, located in Kuching, is housed in a beautifully restored traditional Chinese shophouse and features a wide range of exhibits showcasing the history and customs of the Chinese diaspora in Sarawak. The displays are well-curated and informative, covering everything from traditional dress and daily life to important historical events and figures. The highlight of the museum is the impressive collection of traditional Chinese ceramics, which is truly awe-inspiring. Overall, the Chinese History Museum is a must-see for anyone interested in the history and culture of the Chinese in Malaysia. It is well...

Surprisingly amazing exhibition. Looks boring from the outside, but inside was surprisingly interesting. It was free for entry (i guess) because you can just walk in. It was a great way to know more about the chinese culture and where it origins(the history). It even have audio example of those old dialect that we don't really hear nowadays. Just that it was mentioned that you need permission to take the photos, but i couldn't manage to find any staff around. Everything in good condition and it was very informative (but the description is only in English and Chinese) that we're able to appreciate all those ancestors who worked hard to make our life better today. The aircon abit too cold that's it. Appreciate whoever taking care / in-charge of this.

Here on a weekday at 10am, museum supposed to be open according to their public hours. Unfortunately it looks like it's closed or shut down, doors are locked and no information except for an official looking letter posted on the door in Bahasa Melayu (no English copy or translation provided). In the five minutes we waited around we saw many tourists and other groups come and go looking confused and no one has a clue what's going on. Had to report this to google maps so it now shows temporarily closed. But I wish the museum would provide clearer information to the public and update their hours online so as to minimize inconvenience to their visitors.

Free Entry! This small museum tells us about the pioneer Chinese people who resided in Kuching in early days. Visiting this museum wont take much time as it is a small museum. You can spend around maximum of 30 minutes to read and experience all the exhibits inside the museum! You can just stop by when strolling at the waterfront. Please be reminded it closes at 5pm. Coming here by car, you need to find a parking spot quite far as this museum is located right inside the waterfront and since it is a walkable area, you can enjoy the view of kuching city before entering the museum by foot.
