This place is a solid choice for late-night eats. For those not familiar with lok-lok - the setup is simple: find a table and take note of your table number, order your drink, then head over to the uncooked food kiosk. Grab a plate and choose whatever catches your eye - most of the selection includes frozen items like hotdogs, fish balls/cakes and meatballs, but there are also fresh greens, yong-tau-foo, fried meats, and seafood skewers available. Once you’ve filled your plate, hand it to the staff and let them know whether you’d like your food deep-fried or boiled. They’ll cook it and deliver it to your table, along with a sweet and chilli dipping sauce. After that, you just pay for your food and drink. The kiosk area can get pretty crowded, especially with people awkwardly trying to open the kiosk's sliding door from both sides at once - honestly, not sure why it even needs doors! The space is also a bit cramped. Parking can be a challenge with many prople parked their cars by the roadside. Still, with tables set up along the pavement, it’s usually easy to find a seat. There are a few cooked food stations as well—we noticed people enjoying BBQ chicken wings. Prices are fair; my plate (as pictured) came to RM22. Just be mindful - it’s easy to take more than you think! Nothing much to talk about the food because it is just simply boiled / fried. One thing to note, my lady fingers were perfectly cooked. Despite the crowd, service was quick and the staff were friendly. We’d definitely come back when we’re in the area and looking for a satisfying late-night meal.

The late night supper food establishment of Kuching. Characterized by its extended roadside alfresco dining crowd and erratic roadside car parking at the roundabout. Over the years it has maintained its food quality and following, to the point of extending and extending adjoining shop lots. The vibe is very lively and happening in the evenings, catering to the late night crowds. One is spoiled for choice when selecting one's own choice of lok lok and request for deep frying or boiling. There are other selections of food available here, and particularly good is the chee chiong fun, nasi lemak, laksa, ayam penyet and beef noodles. The staff are efficient and polite, even though they are busy attending to the crowd. Opens only in the evening till late at night, one can come earlier to have better chances of getting a car park space.

(March 2023 review): Lok lok, still the number one in Kuching, better than any lok-lok in town. 🍢🍢👌🏻👌🏻 Brilliant, the laksa here tastes great. 😋😋🍜🍜 The toilet here is so smelly. 😷😷😷 If you’re craving for lok lok, this is the place. 😉🍢🍢🍢 (April 2022 review): The number one lok-lok in Kuching than other lok-lok. The worst part is the food is overpriced. Per stick is RM3. The nasi lemak is having a small portion. The rice have bigger portion while you see the plate, half egg and one piece of small chicken there. They also serve western food brought from Ming corner. The lok-lok there, have a lot of food to choose from. Nasi lemak (9/10) The lok-lok (9/10) Staff (8/10) Service (9/10) Cleanliness (6/10) Environment (2/10) Place (7/10) 100% recommended for the food.

I’ve been coming to this eatery for years and always enjoyed the food and service, until recently. On my latest visit around 5.45pm, I had a disappointing experience.

Due to a misunderstanding by one of the staff, I was told my meal cost RM22. I gave RM52 in cash. Later, after clarifying and correcting the order to my usual meal (Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng with two chicken bishops, normally RM18), the change I received was only RM2.

I politely asked about the remaining balance, expecting RM36, but the staff member (a Chinese lady with a ponytail and wearing a cap) firmly insisted that she had already returned the full change. Unfortunately, no receipt was issued and there is no CCTV as far as I know, so I had no way to prove otherwise.

I left feeling very disappointed, especially after being a regular customer for so long. I sincerely hope the management will look into this and ensure more transparent and professional handling of payments in the future.

As a suggestion to others: try to request a receipt and confirm your payment clearly on the spot. It may help avoid any misunderstanding.

Update: I've been contacted by one of the top management a few days after these review. And they respond to my case and solved it respectfully. I didn't manage to met the staff, which I don't mind. But atleast I get my refund. Thanks a lot to the top management for the prom action. Hopefully this issue will never occur again...

It was such a great place to be after you have explored kuching the whole day, then you need to sit down and grab some snacks and refreshments. First, the longan drink (mata kucing) was really fragrant and refreshing as the weather here can be so hot there, you know this beverage is made from real extract of the fruit. The service were superb and fast, you just have to choose your food that are arranged on skewers (like yong tau foo components of fishcakes, quail eggs, small chicken parts, seafood, vegetables and their price start from rm3 to rm3.50 per skewer), you can ask the cook whether to boil or fry them, then the food will be delivered straight to your table, the dipping sauce was an awesome complement, many people reviewed that the nasi lemak was delicious and i confirmed yes, it is!!! The sambal was out of the world!!! The best one and the most favourite skewer choice is the fried aubergine stuffed with fish cake, it was crispy on the outside and there was soft, meaty fish cake on the inside. Plus point, all the skewers are prepared fresh and they did not taste like the frozen ones, yay.

Lastly, after you received your food and before you finished eating, a lady will come around to collect the payment and she was quick with her maths and told the exact amount you must pay, so just prepare the cash so you can enjoy your food relaxingly now because you've...
