DO NOT BE DECEIVED by this OVERRATED restaurant. We felt so CHEATED. We were told the price of the crab was RM126 per kg and that the weight of 3 crabs would be roughly 1 kg. We only took 2 crabs(1 female and 1 male) and the crabs were small size; the male crab was without one pincer. Based on my husband's dealing in crabs, he estimated the two crabs to be around 700g. On top of that, the crabs were quite hollow. When the bill came, we were charged 1 kg for the crabs @ RM126. My husband disputed the bill and asked the waitress to check with the kitchen. And she came back with the revised bill where they charged us for 850g @ RM107.10. If they had weighed the crabs from the beginning, why did they charge us 1 kg and after disputed, they changed to 850g. The crabs had been cooked and eaten, how did they derived to 850g? It was outright cheating. We ordered 5 dishes: Sweet and sour crabs and mantou (the sweet & sour sauce was not nice) Ha Lok (prawns) Salted pepper mantis prawn Deep fried oyster The revised total bill was RM202.70. To be honest, the food was just average to us. The style of cooking and taste were not to our satisfaction especially after we have tasted the other seafood restaurant nearby. The calamansi sour plum juice was very diluted (unlike the one we drank at Restoran Seong Yes, which was freshly pressed and unadulterated, no dilution, just the fruit in its...
Read moreWhen in Kuala Selangor, eating seafood is a must do. We went to this restaurant as it is not caught up in the maddening atmosphere where most of the popular restaurants are. It’s more pleasant and able to enjoy the food better. We didn’t have to wait for a table but was forewarned that it will take one hour to serve the dishes 🤔 why???? There are many choices on the menu 🤕 we had the yam basket which is very good and u can have a choice what to fill in 👍🏻 next was the 🐟 its a red snapper and it came fried (when we thought we ordered ginger steamed???) nvm, the 🐟 was fried nicely and crunchy, not too fleshy but enough. The vegetables dish has loads of 🍄🟫 not too oily 👍🏻 the kam heong lala dish has a lot of dried shrimps (har mai) cooked together and not too 🌶️ each clam has flesh and not empty 🤣 👍🏻 With these 4 dishes, we are quite full and it doesn’t cost a bomb (around 150) 😃 there is quite a crowd but not too over even at mid afternoon. Spillover from the other restaurants?? 🤔 whatever, if you are looking for a more peaceful...
Read moreI recently had the chance to try a few dishes, and overall, it was a satisfying meal with a good variety of flavours.
The Kailan with salted fish was well-cooked the vegetables were fresh and still had a nice crunch, while the salted fish added a savoury touch without overpowering the dish.
The Squid Thai Style was definitely a highlight. It was tender and paired beautifully with the tangy and slightly spicy Thai sauce. A great choice for seafood lovers looking for something flavourful and refreshing.
As for the Ikan Bakar, it wasn’t quite to my taste. While it was presented nicely, the seasoning could have been a bit more balanced to bring out the natural flavour of the fish. It may just be a matter of personal preference.
The Onion Omelette was simple yet satisfying. It had a nice golden texture and the onions gave it a sweet and aromatic lift perfect as a...
