I have more than 100 cafes in my list which I have accumulated ever since I found the Note app in my iPhone to be so useful. In the past, I used to carry a 555-esqued notebook containing all the names of cafe that I want to or had visited. There are some earlier names which I've not tried - msot likely due to the location factor.

Brew N Bread is one of them. Located in Kota Kemuning, which is about 30-40 minutes drive from PJ depending on traffic, I have to shelve my plan to visit this cafe until the opportunity arrives. Both times I came here, I got lucky to find a parking spot right in front of the cafe.. as many had to park in the multi-storey carpark opposite as then walk here. They provide free parking to their customers apparently.

Manning the whole premise was a team of friendly and enthusiastic young people. The coffee bean here is roasted on day basis to ensure the quality and it's freshness. Both time I was here and they were doing good business, signalling their popularity with the locals and outsiders alike.

◾The Melting Island - I gave in to such a beautiful dessert with a matcha lava cake taking centerstage, flanked with pistachio, hazelnut, red bean cream, pomegranate, cranberry, blueberry and toasted bread. ◾I like the simplicity of their Chicken Roulade made with chicken thigh, carrot, mushroom, toasted sesame, brown sauce, hollandaise sauce and basil/parsley infused olive oil. ◾Gado-Gado - Indonesian inspired salad with lettuce, Japanese cucumber, cherry tomatoes, egg, fried tao-pok, and nanny-recipe-peanut-sauce. Vegetarian will find this dish appetising. ◾at the counter, there are varieties of cakes and pastries to choose from.. just to go with your caffeine of choice. ◾On top of their regular coffee - espresso or even milk-based - they also have some specials such as cold brew, bombshell (please try for yourself) and single origin filter coffee made on the spot.

They have since opened another outlet in KL downtown (Menara MCA) so coffee lover rejoice. I vouch for the quality of their coffee, dessert and the food. One of the very few that I...

This is the worst experience and place I've ever been to.

I've purposely call in a day earlier to check if the place is wheelchair accessible and friendly. They said yes. When I reached the next afternoon with my friend, it was difficult and challenging for me to even reach their door step. The slope for wheelchair to go up was parked and blocked. We have to travel at least 8 shops away to use another slope and the pathway was very uneven. Totally different from what the person in charge mentioned. Finally, I've arrived the cafe and there are 2 curbs (about 40cm in height), my friend had to make a lot of effort to actually push up and get into the cafe. We were then rush to a table and the location of the table was next to stairs.

Fine. When I question why say yes when your location is actually not convenient for wheelchair to access? The waitress just answered that they have too many customers. I will always call before visiting a place because Malaysia is not really disabled friendly. I can always go somewhere else.

Around 5.48pm, I remembered clearly because my mom came by to join us for coffee. When she's about to order, the waiter told her that "Our last order is at 6.30pm, we don't take order already". With much frustration, we decided to just pay and leave. I would like to highlight this, it's only about 6pm and the shop close at 7pm. The cashier is literally rushing my mom to make payment without giving her the chance to check the bill.

Overall, the food was just ordinary and coffee was okay. But, I'll never...

Good service, staff was friendly and helpful. The environment is fine as well, seats near the washroom can smell greasy but overall it’s good enough. The food was great at a very reasonable price.

🍅🍕FRESH FOCCACIA W SPICED MARINARA - Just awesome, everything is just nice, the focaccia is freshly made, perfect chewy texture topped with cheese and olives, not too much like some I had. I thought the marinara would get greasy as you ate like the other I had, however, it didn’t happen, maybe the portion of each ingredient is perfect enough.

🍳Egg Benedict - my friend ordered that and she loves it, I’m a vegetarian so I didn’t get to try it. The salad aside has a generous amount of veggies (not the cheap ones that you usually get in your salad).

🍞Desert(French toast) - similar taste to the one I had at Oomph cafe but the ice cream tasted much better, however, the texture could be better, the bread is kind of flaky and dry, which might be because of a lack of milk/egg. But still worth a try as it tasted awesome.

🍰Tiramisu nut cake (take away) - it’s quite similar to the Kenny Hills one, but what I like about this is that there is a sea salt chocolate layer at the bottom that makes it taste unique.

Overall will return if I’m going to Kota Kemuning for events or the other branch. Looking forward to try their pumpkin risotto and...

Food 3/5 / Environment 4/5 Ordered: 1. 2 cups of latte ( blend : sugar daddy & driver) 2. Hojicha soft serve with a small creme brûlée 3. Spaghetti in salted egg York sauce with fried calamari 1. Coffee - the blend didnt list out what beans they’re using. But came with a card saying how favouriteful it is. To me , it’s taste strong more like cappuccino. Plus they are using ceramic cups instead of glass cup. 2. Ice cream - hojicha softserve doesn’t match with creme brûlée. But it taste ok, it’s not the thick type . Creme brûlée is bad , coz it’s top layer of burnt sugar was very thick & hard, I have to slam my spoon nearly 10 times only can break it. 3. Calamari & spaghetti - ordered it thinking it was only calamari then turned out it comes with spaghetti . The menu was in horizontal paper , seperate out the food in diff categories by using a fine line . So you might missed out a small vertical title at sides indicating what’s category the food is . In this case can’t see a small “ spaghetti “ wordings at side . The salted egg York sauce taste bland. The noodles ok. Environment is good , I sit at the back with fans area . It’s more peaceful . Inside near to counter areas are quite pack. It’s my first time here coz I saw they have over 1000 google review . Might comeback again if I visit Klang.
