Leaving 3 stars so that there is room for their improvement. Staff is courteous and friendly. Shop is located upstairs, for those driving please pay parking ticket as it is prone to receive saman there. Ordered a Kamatama Udon but was served a Kamatama Mentai-Butter Udon. Taste is decent, noodles is good but portion is small, whereas the soupy version of Ontama Wakame Udon is above average. There used to be a very good udon shop (Sanuki udon) in kota kemuning unfortunately it closed down so I was really looking forward to trying Yamabuki, thought I was a bit underwhelmed by the quality/price/quantity. Can’t help to make a comparison, as the former served really good udon (their Kamatama udon is simple yet packed with flavours from their shoyu sauce and tamago onsen and seaweed, it was only rm6.90 and good portion too!). Plus point here, they have great variety of udon. Will i be back? Yes, but probably will pick something new to try with hopes that I’ll find something that will impress...

Such a shame that this place is closed, this was my absolute favorite japanese restaurant, the prices were affordable the food was second to absolutely none and the owner is super friendly. I came here almost every week with my mom and my brother and every single dish we tried was amazing, genuinely very very very delicious especially the rice bowls and ramen.

Mr owner if you are reading this , I'm sure you had your reasons to close down the restaurant but I really really miss eating your ramen and tonkatsu don. I hope things are going well for you and if they're not , they will soon. Thank you for serving us the best japanese food ever , we will miss you...

UPDATE: Service is still so slow after the reopening. Food is good but the waiting time is TOO long! Restaurant only at half capacity also waited SO LONG! Totally lost my appetite for dinner due to the wait. The staff is new and doesn’t know to refill the green tea. Tenzaru udon is just normal. Dipping Sauce given so little. Mentaiko cold udon was ok. Really regret waiting 40mins for such poor quality.

Wide selection of udon (hot and cold). Clean, friendly staffs. Portion was quite small for its price.

The pork udon with dashi soup was OK, although i was expecting something with stronger taste. Cod roe mayonnaise udon was tasty! Cold udon fans...

Super slurpy Udon - love it. You can taste that they're hand made and get enough time to rest. The available selection of dishes is almost overwhelming but fit the Udon really well. Their side dishes like korokke and katsu are as crunchy as they could be. Their pork belly with rosemary is the best and very unique in Malaysia - must try! Once ordered, it may take a while before you can indulge yourself. Everything will be prepared freshly for you. Room for improvement: - Consider playing japanese music - Put some more japanese stuff on the wall and tables to increase japanese atmosphere
