Upon entering, we were welcomed warmly by the staff who promptly seated us and handed over the menus. The initial impression was promising, but unfortunately, the overall dining experience presented a mix of highlights and challenges that left us with a nuanced perspective.
The initial engagement with the menu was hampered by our waiter's lack of familiarity, which noticeably affected the overall flow of our meal. We found ourselves having to order extra sides, namely mashed potatoes and salad, only to be informed that these were not included with our chosen steak dishes.
Speaking of steak, the restaurant presented an interesting approach with a selection from the freezer, offering an extensive variety to choose from. Despite our anticipation, our excitement waned when our medium-cooked steak arrived overcooked, slightly detracting from the expected enjoyment.
Thankfully, the Mushroom Soup provided a comforting and flavorful beginning to our meal. Its rich profile hinted at the culinary potential that lay within the establishment.
However, the salad fell short of expectations, its warm temperature affecting the texture and overall appeal.
The onion ring was a notable letdown. The anticipated crunch and character were replaced with a disappointingly hard exterior, which marred the experience.
In conclusion, our visit provided us with a glimpse into both the strengths and weaknesses of the restaurant. The diverse array of steak choices, highlighted by the delectable mushroom soup, certainly holds promise. The friendly staff contributed positively to the evening, even though some menu-related challenges were apparent. However, the inconsistencies in steak preparation and the execution of certain sides, such as the "warm salad" and onion ring, underscore the need for refinement.
While our experience was marked by a mixture of highs and lows, it's clear that Me'nate Steak Hub possesses potential. With continued efforts towards improving execution and staff training, the establishment could elevate its dining offerings and become a more consistent and appealing destination for those seeking a memorable...
Read moreCame with happy and festive feeling, went home with belly full of anger.
Reserved the seat for 7/8 pax days earlier for 9pm, came as early as 1pm in the evening to choose the meat, got the big table in the middle of restaurant (that hv been decorated with balloons and stuff for birthday celebration) but still managed to get ignored by ALL servers LOL literally.
We asked the server three times when the food gonna arrive but one of the server said “kena tunggu turn” while we only get drinks and kid meals at 9.55pm (we arrived at 9pm). Not even an appetizer. Even asked a Bangladeshi server ye. Around 10, a server come with paper (not sure if that order form or bill) but asked if “semua makanan ckup ke” something like that. The audacity to get shocked when we tell her, we haven’t get anything yet. And then come again with “memang semua tk dpt lg ke” 😀 haha
the first order to arrive which is pizza get eaten less than 5 minutes. That’s how hungry we are. Everything comes gradually and 2 lamb steaks arrive at around 10.30pm. We have another 1 order which is wet aged beef but when 10.40pm the steak hasn’t arrive yet, i didn’t bother to ask. Even when I’m about to pay, the newer customer got their steak and I didn’t see any beef coming to our table.
When about to pay, i forgot to mention the maybank card thing that get 5% off bcs I get too pissed n busy telling them to take out the wet aged beef bcs it didn’t arrive, but then the cashier also tak perasan kot even i showed the card. Didn’t care about 5% pun but get pissed with the comment “oh kena bgtau kalau guna maybank card”. Ok.
To summarize, the whole night was filled with disappointment bcs of the careless and un-attentiveness of the staffs. It was supposed to be a happy night for my dad n sister since its their birthday, but we came home with belly full of anger. Bye Menate. It was fun & happy having you in Me’nate Ipoh. Thought it would be same here, but...
Read moreThe servers was polite, but the service was terrible, so many things are not available in the menu, hello exec chef u tido ka??? Service was terribly slow n most of the servers was not being trained well, pity them. They're lack of product knowledge. They don't even move the 'customer parking' signage for me to park my car. The ventilation is the worst...hot, smoky, even mamak restaurant was much better. Please train ur servers better in the sense of product knowledge, n speedy bar person a.k.a barista. Thank God there's one person 'big guy'/ male cashier saved our day. One more thing, our starters was served AFTER Main Course??? What the??? The only cream soup in the menu was not available??? This is absurd. I am an Executive Chef as well, and a licenced lecturer, i was sad to see the major disaster in food preparation n food services. I don't mind to forked out my hard earned money to get satisfaction or enjoy my foods, but the services and the items not available a.k.a. item 86 was not worth what i am paying for. Please...please....n please improve your...
