Worst experience in this restaurant

Been here for many times over the years, food is always decent with reasonable price. The experience this round is really an eye opening to me and my friends. Will never be back to this shop again.

Food: 1 star Ordered two XXL Crabs- kamheong and sweet sours. Sweet sour one is okay but the kam heong one is not fresh. Told the shop about the food quality, they took one part of the crab to the kitchen and told me: oh, its like that one, cook Kam heong Will make the crab become hard and flaky. I was like, urgh I had better crab before, it's definitely not fresh. The shop refuse to refire a crab for me which I'm really disappointed about. Oh back to story earlier which they have took one part of it back to the kitchen for quality check, I asked about that and the guy just smile and didn't offer me any solution. Then I said give me discount to compensate that part of the crabs, they have generous offer me a 4% discount off from the bill which makes me confuse again.. how they came up with discount %. Based on my calculations, they really prorated the portion of the crab and give that 'discount' to me which also not enough to cover for that part of the crab.

Price This shop used to provide reasonable price. 3 crabs for RM6x. Today they told us 1kg for RM88, I'm willing to pay so we ordered two pieces. When we ask for the bill, it's actually RM88 per piece of crab. He said we heard wrongly about the price, it's always RM 88 per piece but three of us heard as 1kg RM88. How could that be possible?? Moreover, it's not fresh!!

Cleanliness Toilet smelly like few days no wash. Outside the shop got cockroach smell..

The shop used to be well maintained whenever I visited last time. This will be my last round to visit this...

Local Fusion Thai 🇹🇭 X Malaysian 🇲🇾 Meals at Chong Thai Restaurant #kotakemuning

After a long and tiring day (from convocation), it’s best to have a great meals with the families 🤗. Here we are, at the restaurant which is good with Thai mix Chinese Malaysian cooking 🧑‍🍳.

We had the .. 1)Claypot Glass Noodle with Prawn 🍤 everything is cooked in a claypot , spiced up black pepper, soy sauce and milk .. it’s aromatic and tasty 😋.

2)Sizzling Hot Plate Tofu -the gravy is the killer ones, combination of soy sauce, oyster sauce, egg and minced pork meat as the based, that’s amazing 🤩 combo! The tofu is smooth and comfy !

3. Thai Lemon Style Steamed Fish 🐟(Siakap/Seabass) -the soup is sourishly sweet, the longer it is cook the better it gets🤤 -the fish is fresh and meaty too 👍

4)Thai Style Chicken Leg Salad 🐓 -this starter is always appetising, it kicks off with our appetite 👄! -the mix of onion, garlic, chilli, lime , coriander and tomato… makes it looks like a pot of treasure bowl 🥣

5. Sambal/Chilli Kangkung(water spinach 🌿) -this is always a local vegetable dish to go to! Simple, crunchy , and spicy! for this version, it’s lacking of spices/chilli 😅…definitely need more 🌶 to give a good punchy dish!

My dad is rarely happy with restaurant services, but he is super happy with this one.

We ordered kangkung, fish curry, nestum mantis prawns and roasted pork. The roasted pork is both tender & crispy, wow! I have to say that it's to the standard of those roasted pork specialty restaurant. We asked for extra cucumbers. The kangkung is succulent and fresh. I like the way they cooked the nestum mantis prawn. It's tangy and appetising, plus the oatmeal flakes are very crunchy. My dad and brother like the gravy of the fish curry & the roasted pork the most.

During our visit here, some ladies brought their westerners friends here too. They seemed to enjoy too.

Indeed food is very great, but I must say that their service is even much better, particularly those safety precautions before they serve any hot food.

The captain and the other staff are very sharp & attentive. Great food, great crew, clean atmosphere, clean toilet. So I will definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends who live in the vicinity!
