FISH BONES CAFE — Restaurant in Shah Alam

It was an unpleasant dining experience. Firstly, we ordered 2 nasi lemak but only one been served. They realised that they have placed only 1 order after that. The chicken looked small and cold. I tried the sambal and found it was sour and tasted wrong for me. My friend said they might put lime in the sambal so I did not ask further. Then my friend's nasi lemak served, I tried her sambal and found out the taste was different. We asked the staff, he told me "memang macam too, sambal different" (such a creative answer) I insisted and asked him to bring back to the kitchen and clarify. They changed the sambal for me and admitted the sambal is really spoilt! This is not the end...my friend found there were blood inside the fried chicken, it was undercooked! They then sent the chicken to the kitchen again and recook it...When we want to pay at the counter, a guy that is not wearing any uniform but he said he is not the manager, regardless, I asked him what to do with the experience we had, he seems like did not know what had happened. I told him about the food, he then said sorry and replied 'tadi ada staff tengah rehat...' WHAT KIND OF EXCUSE IS THIS?!!! We were rushing of time so we just left. No more second time and now I just praying not to have...

Eating out has always been salty for me personally therefore I would say the overall saltiness here is acceptable, though many reviews were lamenting over it so it depends on personal preferences.

Had the Signature Bentong Curry Fish Head w Seafood and it's moderately good. Big prawns were served w plentiful of squid & the fish meat is tender - price is justifiable as seafood is really very expensive these days.

An IndoMee Goreng from the menu caught my surprise & it is something unable to resist 😃 Thanks Owner - extending papadam for us upon special request ❤️👍👍

In a nutshell, overall pricing to many may be on a mid to high side but let's not forget their services plus the comfy ambience you'll enjoy with full AC while eating the Curry Fish Head ......

I've tried Fish bone long time ago before they shifted to the new location now. The food is tasty though its quite pricey. So me & my husband decided to visit again last night, we were quite hungry since it's raining. The place is empty no customer. We saw 3 workers there, 2 man playing with their phone, 1 woman is lying down on the bench sleeping. My husband sat and i walk near to the 2 man, I called them, called again, call again loudly, they don't even hear me, they're too focus with their phone. I'm very surprised they don't notice us staring at them for like 2 minutes. Once they notice us, they're shocked.
