Food: 1 Star Ordered their signature Mee Jawa but it was such a let-down. Cooking was mediocre and the gravy was almost tasteless. It just didn't taste like authentic Mee Jawa at all.
Environment: 3 Stars The colour themes of the restaurant made the interior bright and shiny. Seating arrangement was comfortable and cosy for diners.
Service: 0 Star Reached the restaurant and had to find a seat by myself. No waiter or waitress ever ushered or greeted me. Sat there for a minute or two, the foreign waiter and waitress walked by a few times but nobody just bothered to take my order. A stern and emotionless looking guy sitting at the counter who looked like the manager was just right in front of my seat but also never smiled or attended to me. At the end I had to stand up and approach the counter to ask for the menu and give the order myself. This was the "service" the customer received.
Parking: 0 Star Almost impossible to find parking outside or nearby the restaurant during lunch hours. Even double-parkings were full. Literally crazy.
Price: 1 Star Not worth the price for the quality of food that they offered. Some more they even charged 10% Service Charge which was absolutely unfair, given the level of service that they...
Read moreSo I came with a Malay friend, we called in to see if it was halal, the person who answered it sounded agitated when she replied yes. This is my second time there btw because I liked popiah and I thought this place would have deserved another visit.
We ordered a bunch full. The rojak portion wasn't much compared to the sauce and the keropok..just saying.. the popiah was just "ok" compared to the rest I've tried🥲 but I think what ruined my overall experience was the hospitality..Especially when my Malay friend came to eat this, she didn't know anything about Chinese food. We walked in,were seated down then only were told that we have to order at the counter and pay there.
For me,it is the lack of hospitality and bad customer service. We were not provided any sharing plates after such big orders as well. So we actually made a mess on the table 🥲 but I cleaned it up before leaving cause the lady staff kept staring at me. It's just that the staff there look really stressed or agitated at all time and there weren't really any crowds there. So it's hard to ask them for anything..it's like they don't want to serve us sort of a vibe. Needless to say, I am not...
Read moreBibi's Popiah, located in Subang SS15, is a great eatery that offers a variety of food options in addition to its specialty popiah. I found the food at Bibi's Popiah incredibly tasty and well-prepared, making it an excellent choice for anyone looking for a satisfying meal.
However, one thing that struck me about Bibi's Popiah was the pricing. While the food is undoubtedly delicious, it's expensive, which may not appeal to some customers. That being said, I feel that the extra ringgit is worth it when you consider the cleanliness and ambiance of the shop.
Bibi's Popiah is impeccably clean, which is often overlooked in the food industry. The attention to detail in terms of cleanliness and presentation makes for a more pleasant dining experience, and it's clear that the owners take pride in their establishment.
Overall, Bibi's Popiah is an excellent option for delicious food in a clean and welcoming environment. While it may be a bit pricey, the quality of the food and the cleanliness of the shop makes it a worthwhile destination for anyone looking for a...
