Always our place to go to whenever we crave for good char siew and herbal roasted duck. We patron BK, a family run business since day one they started business. Their standard of food remained tasty and consistent thus far. Service is good, ZERO deco but place is clean, well lit and air-conditioned. We ordered our usual :-

  1. 神仙叉烧 (immortal char siew) @ RM25/medium - GREAT! Melts in your mouth!
  2. Herbal roasted duck @ RM30/half - GREAT! Herbal-ish, in a subtle way. Duck is not gamey yet flavorful.
  3. Scallion beancurd @ RM8/small - ok
  4. Nai bak vegetable @ RM18/medium - fresh and crunchy
  5. Lah Chi prawns @ RM35/medium - flavorful
  6. Steamed white rice @ RM1.60 - self-made stainless steel by BK.
  7. Refillable boiling water @ RM4 -

Price remained unchanged all these years and so is the...

Came by to take away some char siew. Heard the char siew gets sold out real quick so I popped by right after opening at 11.40 or so. Store was empty other than the one table at the corner. Probably best described as the calm before the storm 😂

Got my order in with whom I presume is the owner/manager. Very pleasant guy, very friendly. Ordered for takeaway, came within 5 mins or so. Small char siew - feeds 2 for reference.

Only issue I had was the rice. I ordered a rice for takeaway as well. Considering this is a char siew/duck place i thought I'd be getting the usual garlic rice but it was just plain white 😞 probably could do better on that front, other than that, everything was good and truly one of the best char...

Brother Kuan Restaurant is a hidden gem for roast meat lovers, especially their char siew, which is truly next level, tender, juicy, and absolutely delicious, easily the star of the menu. The roast duck is above average with good flavor, while the prawns are also satisfying, but nothing comes close to the superb char siew that steals the show. Service is another highlight, with the lady boss being very friendly, attentive, and making diners feel welcome. The atmosphere is simple, a no-frills Chinese eatery setup, but the place is air-conditioned, which adds to the comfort. Parking around this area is a challenge. Overall, it’s a great spot for a hearty meal where the food, especially the char siew, does all...
