I have stayed in this hotel twice. The first was in February. I was so happy with the hotel that booked again for my second trip to Puchong.in April 2017. It is an unpretentious hotel from the outside, with a small narrow lobby and a single park bench outside when waiting for a cab or just watching the roadside scenery. But what is great for the price is the room. I stayed at Room 302, a large well lit corner room with wide windows overlooking the many restaurants around the intersection. There was a large firm bed and comfortable pillows. The glass enclosed bathroom was large by normal standards and had the standard amenities. The shower had both an overhead rain and telephone type head. The glass wall and door gave an expansive feeling unlike the cramped bathrooms of hotels of the same price point. An opaque curtain was available if one needed privacy.Towels were large and thick. The water plant near the sink was a nice touch. The room was always kept spotlessly clean. There was a free water bottle and a choice of coffee or tea and an electric kettle to boil water. There was a large flat screen TV, telephone and free wifi. The front office staff were very friendly and very helpful, answering questions about the area, where to eat, where to go, etc. While the hotel has no restaurant, there is a very nice seafood restaurant next door, De Local, serving wonderful fish dishes of all kinds, steamed, fried, grilled, and fresh fruit juice blends. A nice lady from mgmt was extra hospitable and engaged me in conversation, providing insights about the place, There being no breakfast places that open early, she advised to buy food supplies at a store around the corner. She even gave me a banana one morning knowing i had no breakfast. All the front desk staff were nice particularly Kelvin who was extra helpful. He even once joined me for dinner next door.. A hotel stay is often an unpleasant experience due to impersonal staff and less than wonderful facilities. But Hotel Vevo is different. It is both a wondefrul and pleasant stay there because of the people and the facilities . It is truly a value for money hotel, more than other hotels of its category I have stayed in before....
Read moreDuring my recent stay at the so-called "Hotel Vevo Puchong," I was utterly disappointed with the quality of service and the overall experience. From the moment I arrived, it was evident that the hotel management had failed to maintain even the most basic standards. The front desk staff was unresponsive and unhelpful, leaving me waiting for an extended period before checking in.
The room I was assigned was in a deplorable state, with stained carpets, peeling wallpaper, and outdated furniture. The air conditioning unit was inefficient, making the room uncomfortably warm, and the window was faulty, causing a constant, irritating noise. To make matters worse, the bathroom was unhygienic, with mold growing on the shower curtain and a persistent musty smell.
The hotel's amenities were equally disappointing. The pool area was poorly maintained, with leaves and debris floating in the water. The gym equipment was outdated and in poor condition, making it nearly impossible to get a proper workout. The restaurant served mediocre food at exorbitant prices, and the service was slow and inattentive.
To top it all off, the hotel's security was a significant concern. On multiple occasions, I witnessed guests loitering in the hallways and heard loud, disruptive noises late into the night. It was clear that the hotel had not taken adequate measures to ensure guest safety and comfort.
In conclusion, my stay at the Prestige Palace Hotel was an exercise in frustration and dissatisfaction. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a pleasant and relaxing vacation experience. Instead, potential guests should look elsewhere for a hotel that truly values their comfort...
