Visited on a weekday night, it wasn’t very crowded. The staff were very efficient and friendly. The space was well ventilated, various seating arrangements such as private room, bar table, family tables, 4-seatings. One can only order the grilled skewers minimum amount of 6, and they give a free grilled rice balls. The skewers are pretty yummy, nicely grilled and nicely seasoned, with a nice charcoal smell. The free grilled rice ball is delicious too, crunchy surface with a slab of butter, and mixed with bonito flakes. I personally recommend the Grilled Shiitake mushrooms, juicy and flavourful! The sushi was decent, at a reasonable price. They stopped offering hand rolls, hence we tried the taco sushi- which has a crispy fried seaweed shell. Maybe we left the food too long, the seaweed shell was not crunchy already. However, the filling was not bad, which includes rice, shredded cucumber, protein of your choice and lettuce topped with a thick layer of mayonnaise. It can be difficult to eat, and it can get messy. Personally, I think good old handroll is good enough 😂 Overall I think this is a good Japanese restaurant, provides good food and good dining environment , suitable for family friends and colleagues. (Although the lighting is quite dim, not really good for photos) Though it might be slightly on the pricey side, it...
Read moreWe stumbled into place. If you can see, I gave 5 stars for food and Service but only 2 stars for the atmosphere. Why? Because it is pet friendly. Also, we didn't like sitting on the Tatami.
I really liked the Ramen. Has a bit of spicy and sour.
The wife loved the Udon but didn't finish the Udon.
Both Noodle dishes might be seen as a generous serving portion.
We liked the Salmon Shashimi. The wife liked Hamachi Shashimi but I don't like it as much. I guess it is a preference.
Interesting and something special... At least to us, is the California Nori Taco. You need to try this, they have a few different choices to try.
Menu? Woah! Plenty of choices. Will return to try the other food stuff.
Prices? I think OK la... Quality and portion is fair, I think. Total bill slightly...
Read moreNot highly recommended. The restaurant is small with limited seating, and the turnover rate is very low, so you'll have to wait a long time for a table. The wait time for food is extremely long, with slow service; we waited for over an hour before our food was served.
The Miso Seafood Nabe is expensive and not tasty at all. The soup has no miso flavor, tasting more like garlic soup. The Unagi Chazuke is delicious but comes in a very small portion, too small even for a light eater.
If you're just there to have a few drinks, some skewers, and sushi, and you're okay with a slow pace, it might be fine. However, if you're looking for a substantial meal, I wouldn't recommend it. The value for money is low, and the service...
