Located in SS14 Subang Jaya area, I've always passed this shop and made a mental note to come try this place out as it always seemed to have tons of patrons during peak hours.
Parking along the front of the shop is a hit and miss situation. If you're coming during a weekday, make it early or off peak period and you'll be fine. Otherwise, expect a walk as you'll need to park a little further away.
Simple decor with calligraphy on the walls greet you as you enter. Also, unlike most restaurants, the cashier counter doesn't face the main entrance but is on the left side, with about 15 tables or so in the dining area.
The menu is different on normal days and on "vegetarian" days (1st and 15th day of the lunar month) and on special "vegetarian" days as well. The usual menu contains many more items, whereas the special menu is a scaled down version, but still quite a few items as well.
The food helpings are quite generous in nature, and is very good value for money. I had ordered a "Wat tan hor ying yong" which, when arrived, was enough to feed two persons. Also there were spring rolls and the bak kut teh as well.
The dishes were all tasty - also, if you're a ginger fan, you'd love this place cause almost everything had a hint of ginger in it (I might be wrong).
You can't go wrong with the Nasi Lemak as well, which is popular here, as well as the bak kut teh. Both are hearty options, so, be prepared to share cause I found them to be a little too much for one person!
Prices are super reasonable, and as I left the place, I now realised why it's always packed....
Read moreHonestly, the best ever vegetarian restaurant I have ever tasted. I can’t find much faults in this restaurant’s food! I’ve been wanting to good vegetarian food for so long and this place has provided it to me 👍🏻
When I first came here I was a bit sceptical since for me, vegetarian hasn’t impressed me. But this place is a diamond in the rough.
Not only it’s cheap, it’s quality is top notch and the portion isn’t bad for people with either a small or average appetite… those who eats more may need to order extra haha….
I tried the Bak Kut Teh and god it tasted amazing. My bf admitted it tasted like the actual one with meat… and the Cantonese Kuey Teow was out of this world… delicious!
When the first time I was there I wasn’t impressed with the slow service since the kitchen forgot our order and we waited almost an hour for our food.. but they redeem themselves when we came the second time.. where our food was not longer than 20’minutes 👍🏻 though, the server made need some extra training in providing service.. they tend to leave the table before the customer even finish talking haha…
Anyways, overall I’m so amazed this place existed without me knowing about it.. it’s delicious, focused and totally worth every penny! I highly recommend trying out this place if you’re interested in vegetarian food ❤️
If I come back a third time, I’ll do a...
