This restaurant has become our regular pitstop whenever we have to visit SJMC, due to its close proximity, and the fondness we have attached ourselves to it. I used to hate the foods they serve here, as all of them seemed to be too spicy for me. But now that they had made the necessary adjustment to suit my palate, and the fact that they serve such tasty kuih muih which my wife couldnt get enough of, we had finally made our peace. The parking problem is still a main issue, but now we just park at SJMC and walk over. Problem solved!!
Yesterday we came here with Najwa for brunch, and today we came here again for lunch this time, just the two of us, as my wife couldnt think of anywhere else to have her favorite food...🤭😋😋
All because SJMC's registration clerk screwed up her tests and appointments, but not due to any faults of the doctors, we had to be there for two days in a row!!!😱😱😱
Yesterday we were pleasantly surprised by the small crowd and empty tables, probably due to the Football World Cup Finals the night before. But today, the patrons had to queue until outside the main door!!!😱🤣🤣
If yesterday I had my favorite Beef Noodle Soup, today I settled for Beef Kurma with Fried Chicken and rice. But on both ocassions, I didnt miss having two slices of my all time favorite Kuih Kaswi!!😋😋😋
Normally we would come here at 10:00 or 11:00 in the morning, but today we dropped by in the afternoon, for the first time... And we didnt go for our normal nasi lemak and soto, but we only had some kuih muih and teh tarik..But let me tell you, the kuih kochi and kasuwi I had today...they were the best and most delicious everrr!!!😘😘😘🎉🎊🥳
This cafe is highly popular amongst the local and indon patrons. But why does every dish has to be spicy? Be creative people!! And finally, on 13 Dec 2021, they have mellowed down...no more just spicy food, but a variety of tasty ones!! The sup daging was excellent, to go with nasi lemak, and the kueh kasuwi is still my all time...
Read moreTheir specialty is their nyonya kuih muih and fried stuffs like cucur udang, and karipap. One of the crowds' favourite is also it's nasi kandar selection albeit not much. It's Mee Soto is another crowd favourite. Drinks wise, ice lemon tea and Teh tarik are among the favourites. The only issue here is the limited seating and the area where you grab those nice kuih muih is a bit tight and when the crowd is rushing to grab them, it can be a bit uncomfortable. Another common issue with cafe of this size drawing a substantial crowd is the noise pollution - I think Pasar quieter than this place. Yeah, the other big issue here is the lack of parking spaces. Be prepared to double park or be double parked if u r lucky to get a proper...
Read moreFirst time i tried this restaurant. Food is really good though a bit on the salty side for a certain dish. Environment was simple, clean and nice, nothing fancy which was not important to me as cleanliness is.
It would have been 5 star if not for a slack in their customer service. I do understand and support that the business must ensure that the customer dining in must be fully vaccinated but if one person has already checked that, must another one barge in and confirm again?
Another customer next table had it even worse, a wrong delivery of drinks had the person sending the drinks coming back to the customer to tell him that next time he must check his order is right as she got scolded for delivering to the...
