This restaurant is just SOOO BADDD in so many ways. My wife and I thought of giving this restaurant a try for a japanese dinner and this will be my FIRST and LAST time here. I don't really give reviews unless it either super good or super bad (this falls under Super Bad).

First, we order the Salmon Sashimi rice bowl with ikura for around rm30. It came out a small tiny bowl with 6 small slices of sashimi (4 pieces are so thinly sliced and small that it's like a dog chewed on it). Fine I'll close an eye hoping it gets better. My wife ordered a set of ramen and avocado maki roll. The ramen broth is like you go to a coffee shop order a bowl of wantan mee, they give you a side of soup broth, that's exactly what it taste like. Come on man! We had a few mouth and didn't want to continue the ramen. And for the Avocado maki roll, the avocado is like they spread the avocado like spreading peanut butter on your bread - thin layer...pathetic.

Don't order their maki roll. We ordered another unagi roll and trust me, its equally disappointing.

The saving grace is their fried prawn under their side dishes menu. And the edamame and green tea.

Spending over rm170 on this meal, I would give this a 1.5/10. Just...

Disappointed that the sashimi was not fresh, california temaki wasn't crispy either even though we ate it right outside of the shop. In our take out package, the prawn tempura was missing its sauce. The chuka kuraage smelled very fishy like its been there for a while. The miso soup that came with my bento set was not flavorful and only had the taste of spring onions. Silver linings? The garlic fried rice was decent, and so were the soft shell crab hand roll and avocado hand roll. I did enjoy the teppan beef though. So a bit of a miss for us, and the only other perk is that their kitchen is open before 5pm. Don't think we'll...

This is a small family restaurant that has been in existence for a while. Let's start with the food. The lobster set (which can serve 2 pax) was well prepared. The lobster was well cooked and tasted good. Then came the lobster ramen with a super delicious broth. However, I didn't like the salmon sashimi, which taste bland (having lost its sweetness after storing in freezer for too long). We also had the wahyu, which was good but not spectacular. There is a good sake selection, and prices are Ambience is acceptable. As a suggestion, please change the very worn-out menu. It gives an important impression, especially for...

The ingredients weren't very fresh. The second oyster I tried was a bit fishy. While it's more affordable than other Japanese restaurants on the same row, the portion sizes and quality reflect that lower price. The tonkatsu I ordered was the smallest I've had at a Japanese restaurant. Was quite shocked when i received it. Though I suppose that's partly my fault for ordering tonkatsu at a non tonkatsu restaurant. They are currently running a promotion where you can get four slices of sashimi for RM6.80. However, I suspect it is trout (红鳟鱼) and not salmon. But do correct me if I'm wrong. Service was brilliant tho.

Service: no offence but only one waitress could handle English language. The rest speaks Malay. But they are pleasant. Atmosphere: interesting as they have private room and aquariums. But dated but cosy. Food: nothing to shout about and can’t even compare with a mall type Japanese food. Salmon belly sushi was sour Tuna sushi was not fresh Pork skewers were not fresh (meat was heavily baste with syrup and the meat was thickly coated with cornflour to cover the dryness.) California roll- decent Beef ginger stir fry is not the regular ginger stir fry from a Japanese restaurant. Meat was super tough.

I loved the food generally here. The Tai Sashimi was fresh and good even with the skin on. The Tuna tartare was special with wai San herb. Some people might not like the gooey texture it leaves behind. But wrap with the crispy seaweed was a nice touch. The Char siew ramen was packed with umami flavour. The Miyazaki Striploin was good with its charred fats on the side. Wanted to order the kobe beef unfortunately not available, the cockle was unavailable too. Uni was unavailable as well. The Oysters were from Canada...huge meaty however lack in flavour. Chicken gizzard very small.
