Bottle and Boar is the latest addition to the Jarrod & Rawlins’ group, and is the culmination of over a decade of running successful restaurants and pubs.
Bottle and Boar is a casual place to grab a drink with friends and family any day of the year. Located right smack on what is currently known as Japanese row, Bottle and Boar changes the composition of the street immediately.
Two complete floors were designed to let diners relax over a couple of drinks (or ten) while not having to listen to the conversation beside you. The establishment kept the seating very loose opting instead for a layout that lets you have your own space. That said, there is capacity for about 140 people that can choose from high tables on the ground floor or dining tables on the first floor. If you prefer standing or sitting at a bar, there are dozens of seats along possibly the longest bar in Subang Jaya on the first floor.
The alcoholic beverages are affordably priced with prices starting with a mug of beer at RM10 nett all day, every day. To complement the drinks, there is also signature great comfort food from the other outlets in the group, as well as a number of twisted versions of local dishes that have been selected to go well with the food.
Bottle and Boar is non-halal with many dishes featuring pork although other meats are available too. Bottle and Boar also exclusively uses the most premium sausages, burgers and pies from Jarrod & Rawlin’s sister companies Rawlins and...
Read moreUPDATED REVIEW IN FEB 2024 Came back here after a long time and am sad to say that the quality of both the food and service has plummeted to the extent that I wouldn't return. The friendly staff who were helpful and knowledgeable are all gone and it seems like there has been a change in the bar and kitchen too because the beer was flat, the waiters blur and the food was tbf very 'meh'. My fish pie looked like and tasted of a mess of cream with undercooked veges and a dollop of potato (what sort of pie has ONLY a dollop of potato and does not completely cover the top?!). The mac n cheese tasted just like cream. Just... cream. Their gravy used to be excellent , now... it's akin to the cheap western food level in Chinese kopitiams. It seems like the only thing that has gone up is the price point. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone at this point. Bitterly disappointed. One of my all-time fave places for consistently great food & drinks. Would highly recommend their ribs and chops. Service is great too. They have a good selection of gins, especially during happy hour and their bottle prices are decent too. We visit here about once in 2 weeks since we first tried it out, and that was last year. Safe to say, we've never been...

Regret #2: The drinks and food on offer are super reasonably priced, I've been paying too much elsewhere.
Regret #3: Always on the lookout for good food serving pork, this place was never on my radar.
But from now on, it firmly sits high on my list of places to go. This two level gastropub is well designed with seating that's comfortably spaced, a cosy upstairs bar and lounge area, and a semi-outdoor, well-ventilated smoking zone complete with dart boards.
The pretty extensive menu offers snacks, bites, and full meals as well. Many other reviewers recommend the pork chop, and I couldn't agree more. Get "The Works" as it's good value for money. A huge cut of pork that's smoked and finally seared over a BBQ fire just before serving, it's heaven in every bite.
The ribs are also out of this world, and I couldn't recommend it enough. Finger foods like Nachos, pizzas and wings are also good as well.
Parking is a nightmare, especially on weekends, but if you don't mind a bit of a walk, you can find one around the corner from this place.
It gets crowded from about 6:00 to 6:30pm onwards, but you should be alright finding a place, as long as you're not...
