My family and I dined at Madam Kwan Restaurant Nu Empire Subang Jaya. We ordered food and a glass of watermelon juice without ice.

To my surprised, the watermelon juice was diluted, not serving fresh juice chilled to perfection and showed the change in the colour of the juice.

The best part was that I requested NO ICE, and they served me in a wine glass, and the juice was literally HALF OF THE GLASS for RM12.90!!!! (Picture as attached for your kind attention).

How ridiculous is that?? Why didn't they serve me in a standardised glass (tall sized glass) even if it's without ice? Just because I requested NO ICE and I should be given 40ml of DILUTED watermelon juice??? Is this how you treat your customers? Customers are always RIGHT! We deserved to be treated fairly because we paid for F&B. No customer satisfaction at all. That is because your motto is - "Lantak lah customer suka ke tak suka asalkan customer minum "air" juice yang bukan chilled fresh juice because they are keen to pay RM12.90!!!".

It should be served standardised tall glass size whether it is WITH or WITHOUT ICE. I felt so cheated by them for being so stingy to serve us as we paid for the F&B. Please treat your customers right, not being calculative! There is no need to serve fresh juices if you refuse to be generous to serve us 100% pure fresh juices.

The management should be well-versed in serving fresh juices not being "kedekut" by serving us half of the wine glass and adding more water in it as if customers can't differentiate it!!! For your kind information, fresh juices should be 100% pure fresh juice, not picking 1 or 2 of small cuts of fruits, and add water in it and blend it all together! It should be served in a standardised tall glass size of 100% fresh juice even WITHOUT ICE. I hope the management will address these issues to improve the customer experience in the future.

I had a very bad experience eating at this location. I ordered mixed vegetable with seafood via QR code but was served only mixed vegetable without seafood. When I asked the waiter what happened to the seafood, he said that I placed the order for vege without seafood and showed me the order receipt. Receipt item mentioned mixed vegetable w seafood and I told the waiter the letter W stands for 'with'. He insisted I made a mistake in my order and W stands for without and the kitchen has cooked it so I had to accept it. I proceeded to eat the dish as I was hungry and the food was served late. The same waiter gave me the receipt later after announcing last call. But right before I made the payment I saw the price of the dish on receipt is more expensive at RM 27.90 and asked for the physical menu. It was stated clearly the dish comes with seafood is at RM 27.90 and matches the receipt whereas the dish of mixed vegetables without seafood was RM22.90 in print. Clearly I was told I ordered wrongly and asked to eat the wrong dish but need to pay for the price of the dish with seafood. I showed the menu to the guy and he refused to apologise to me and my mom. He proceeded to edit the details on the receipt, citing QR code issue and expecting us to still pay for the wrong dish despite his mistake. I told him it is about principles and that he should not faulted the customer for making wrong order when I clearly did not and own up to his mistake. Well, if I can give 0 star, I will do so. I had the worst experience here. Visited on 31/12/2021 for Nasi Bojari takeaway. Prior to arriving at the mall, I was calling their restaurant continuously from 10.30am all the way until 11.15am, hoping to pre-order & to collect the food straight upon arrival, the line was busy for the entire 45 mins of attempts!! When I arrived, I told the waitress I’ve tried calling, she said with a sour face, even if you call, we will not take your order through phone call. I told her 3 times to cut the chicken into smaller pieces as the meal is for an elderly, she didn’t respond, told me to come back in 30 mins later to collect. When I went back to collect, the same lady handed the take away meal to me in a plastic bag & quickly walked off. I checked & noticed that the chicken was not cut. By then she has disappeared from my sight. I tried calling another guy but he pretended not to see me & walked away. Another lady at the drinks area also pretended to be busy & ignored me. The same lady that took my order then came out but didn’t look at me although I had been standing at the same spot looking around for assistance. She ignored me & walked to another area. At last I manage to get help from another guy & my problem was solved. This is an extremely terrible experience, the staffs don’t seem happy working here & service is super lousy. This type of rude and super low quality of costumer service skills person should not be hired in this restaurant. We went from far to come here despite there is a branch nearer by our place, because in the first time we came here the other staff treated us very politely and nicely. Fyi we sat at the same table, but we ordered many dishes which were not possible to put on a two seater desk. We planned to order exactly the same dishes today but we were very disappointed by the way this guy behaved. He just asked how many people sitting? And when we answered 2 he just very rudely separated the 7 seated desk without proper communication and proper manner. We felt like we were being thrown out and not welcomed. How would he know what we would order for him to justify us like that? He could just say it nicely without embarrassing us like that and showing his hostile gestures. Is this the quality of staff Madam Kwan's want to keep? Because of useless staff like this it can affect a business. Owner please train your staffs before you hire them. I demand a proper apology from the respective person's side or I will bring this issue until they take a proper action. We come to eat and we are paying for whatever we will order. He cannot treat people like that as if like this restaurant belongs to him. I believe even the owners would not portrey such manner.

Overall experience: I won’t come here again. Let me tell you why: 1. The food looks good right? Yep, but the taste is not great. I ordered the “signature” nasi lemak with beef rendang. The acar is okay (served cold), the Sambal is okay (served lukewarm), the egg is okay, but the main dish, the beef rendang was not fresh (AT ALL!). You can clearly taste that the beef is of not a good quality and it was not freshly cooked (it gave unpleasant waxy taste, meaning it could have been refrigerated for some time).. and also If this is the quality you are serving for a dish that was considered as one of your signature dishes, I can’t imagine your other dishes.. 2. The food took at least 25 mins. The catch is there is no one in the restaurant, so I don’t understand the wait. Was it because they are reheating the beef rendang? Overall: What a way to destroy my day with this lousy/low quality food for RM26 per plate. (People may say RM26 is cheap, but I can get many times better beef rendang nasi lemak for a cheaper price.) I used to like Madam Kwan and have tried it a few times many years back, but reason no.1 is exactly why I won’t come back ever again. Such a let down. *If management from Madam Kwan Empire is reading this, take my comment as a feedback to improve (even though i won’t eat at Madam Kwan ever again).
