Passed by here late at night one evening by chance some time back, and my foodie buddies from East Malaysia confirmed that this place is authentic. That really piqued my curiosity now. Forward to the present day brought about a Saturday afternoon opportunity to come by here to sample some dishes recommended by my Sarawakian foodie friends.

We ordered a variety of dry noodle type dishes which included kolo and kampua mee. The dishes arrived fairly quickly despite the full house within. The noodles just about hit the spot in terms of authenticity and taste. The noodles had that important springy mouth-feel and texture. Taken together with the wonderfully flavour packed lean char sieu, the lard coated noodles were a sheer delight to both your taste buds and mouth feel. All in all, an enjoyable quick weekend lunch break. Highly recommended you give this...

Went there because saw many positive reviews on Facebook. When I arrive at the store front, there was a queue, but I stood there for few minutes nobody came and give a queue number. When the staff (chinese lady with a poker face, who i assume is the management or owner) came out and called for next customers, she did not bother to ask me or give me a queue number as well. Ok i though perhaps with the crowd you did not know i am a new customer, but when you came out the second time, i literally asked you how do i get a queue number, to my surprise you did not even bother to look at me, called the next customer, and went in the shop again. Sorry, you put my appetite off, no matter how good your food is, goodluck with that...

Food is decent. Ordered tomato kuey tiaw and 炒煮面. However, not very happy with the workers hygiene. First caught one waitress coughing while holding 2 plates of food with no mask. And another worker packing a plate of kolomee, while packing, the minced meat spilled on the table top, my husband was looking at her, and her colleague next to her had eye contact with my husband and whispered something to her, and she quickly put that bag of kolomee away and repack a new one. So benefit of doubt, they probably would do the same when no one is looking or will conveniently scooped the spilled meat back to the bag?

Overall, just hope they can improve on this and ensure strict hygiene SOP is in place for the...

Love the environment, the atmosphere and their service. A pretty cosy place as well, a good place to meet with a small group of friends less than 5 people to have deep & fruitful conversations. Coffee is great as well, all the way from Ipoh! But what is also special and unique about this place is that they serve unique dishes that are only served here and not anywhere else! Such these included their Foo Chow Rice Noodle & their Tomato Kuay Teow. Even a friend of mine from Sarawak mentioned that even in Sarawak is very hard to find these dishes. But outside of that, their other local Sarawakian dishes are not bad but aren’t the best. But it’s still a decent place to give it a try.

Deliciously authentic Sarawak noodles. I always come here for the flavourful kolo mee and rich Sarawak laksa. The kolo mee is an indulgent but balanced combination of oily and salty textures, enhanced by springy, housemade noodles that are so satisfactory to chew into. One bowl is not too enough, confirmed. Trust me, I’m walking out of here full to bursting. The Sarawak Laksa is a creamy, vibrant with the squeeze of lime acid, and has mildly spicy prawn based broth. I wish i got it with the kolo noodles, but the staple beehoon is just as good. I wasn’t expecting to empty the bowl, but I did. Please come here, this place cannot close down.
