Extremely Disappointing Experience at [McDonald's Main Place Usj 21]

What should have been a quick and pleasant visit turned into an incredibly frustrating and upsetting ordeal, and I feel compelled to share my experience in the hope that such poor service will not be repeated.

Firstly, the service was unacceptably slow. Despite McDonald’s reputation for efficiency, the staff seemed disorganized and completely unmotivated. Their sour expressions and lack of basic courtesy created an unfriendly atmosphere that was entirely uninviting.

To make matters worse, when I requested tomato and BBQ sauces for the nuggets I had clearly ordered, I was rudely informed that I hadn’t ordered them and was asked to produce my receipt to prove my claim. This level of pettiness over something as trivial as condiments is simply appalling. The sauces were clearly meant for the nuggets on my table, yet your staff displayed an unnecessary level of hostility and reluctance to provide them. Is this how McDonald’s now operates—stinging on sauces and treating customers with such disdain?

The overall environment in the restaurant was chaotic and completely mismanaged. Staff were shouting across the restaurant for table service, and the loud, curt replies made the place feel more like a noisy market than a family-friendly establishment. This commotion upset my six-year-old child and killed the mood entirely. It was shocking and traumatic, far from the enjoyable dining experience we expected.

As a global brand, McDonald’s should prioritize providing excellent customer service and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. What I experienced was the exact opposite, and it was utterly disappointing. I demand that immediate action be taken to address these serious issues.

I sincerely hope you will take this feedback seriously and ensure that such unprofessional and unpleasant behavior is corrected at this branch. Failing to do so will undoubtedly drive loyal customers like myself away.

For the sake of leaving a review, I have to rate them 1 star which they don't even deserve.

This McDonald branch made me decide to record (video) every time I visit a McDonald in Malaysia. I came here on a Saturday, just right about lunch time. I think they have around 3 counters, but they're only using 1 counter to take orders. The Malay girl who's taking the order directs customer to move to the next counter to claim their order. Every time new customers came in, they went straight to the counter for claiming order without realizing that counter is not taking orders. I have to tell several customers to move to my line because they were at the claiming order counter. Since it's lunch time, the line kept piling up, but the staffs are just working lamely and no sense of urgency at all.

Came my turn to order, I asked for 2 pieces of regular chicken. I reiterated regular, not spicy. After more than 5 minutes of standing at the claiming order counter, they gave me my order, SPICY CHICKEN. I said I asked for regular, not spicy. They were talking in Bahasa, the counter girl saying I didn't ask for regular. I can't help but butt in ( I understand and speak a little Bahasa) and told them I do understand what they're talking about and corrected the cashier lady that I did say I want regular chicken, not spicy.

To resolve the problem, they told me they don't have regular chicken, just spicy. I said they could've said so when I ordered earlier because I spent more than 20 minutes lining up. That's when this VERY RUDE AND ARROGANT staff name Siti Hajar steps in and said they will just refund my money. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then I asked her if it's just gonna be like that, no apology or pacifying the customer because they messed up with their service and my order. That's when she told me that she will issue the apology once she hand me my refund.

Another staff (Indian lady) took over and tried to patch things up by saying sorry for what happened while handing me my money. My response, 'Did you apologize just because I...

This place certainly brings back much memories. Just in a blink of an eye, next thing you know is been 6 years since I last gave a review for this place. And I thought to myself, “why not leave an updated review since it’s been so long?” And so, I did!

One of the few changes is that now u can order through a kiosk just like any McDonald’s you go into. And the best part is that it actually works unlike most McDonald that I been to. All that goes to show the quality of their service and maintenance has been maintained after all the years. That’s a big plus!

Another change is that it is now opened up til 12am midnight. That is an awesome news if you ask me. That means now I have another potential hangout spot or place to do work to late night if need to. To be honest, McDonald is one of the pretty good options around for hangouts or just wanting a casual meet-up or even doing work. With air-con, somewhat quiet, place to charge your device, good service, decent & not expensive coffee, and nice food (from Big Mac & Spicy Chicken McDeluxe to GCB, to Fried Chicken & French Fries, etc).

With everything being said, it’s not hard to see why this McDonald wouldn’t be a good place to settled in. Another big change is the variety food options to both their food & beverages which makes it another excellent choice to dine in.
