I messaged her earlier before, told her I wanted to have a party, and she said okay so went to the Taipan branch before my Aussie trip, and she told me she couldn’t do it because there was no PIC which is why I went to SS15.
Then I messaged Zi (the PIC who assisted with Thea’s party for the past 2 years) and asked her how on earth there was no PIC on 29/3. She said she would check and get back to me. After God knows how many days, the PIC at Taipan, Nadia, finally WhatsApps me saying I can have the party there and tells me to come and pay the deposit. So I made the trip all the way there.
Before going, I even WhatsApped her to let her know I was coming. But when I got there, the other staff told me to come back later because she was having lunch. Seriously? I had to sit around waiting another 10–20 mins just to pay a deposit. And when I asked her if there would be a mascot and games, she confidently said yes.
Then comes the actual party day. She came up to the 3rd floor exactly twice, and no one was there to assist me. I had to WhatsApp her just to place orders, and she still missed out drinks and fries multiple times! No sauces for the nuggets, no chili sauce, no ketchup, no tissue paper… absolutely ridiculous.
I had also pre-ordered all Coke for the Happy Meals before the party. But during the party, some kids requested other drinks, so I WhatsApped Nadia to inform her. And what did she say? “I can’t change it because I’ve already prepared it.” What kind of logic is that?
And here’s the worst part… when she came up to the 3rd floor at 1pm for the first time, she knew only two kids had arrived. But instead of waiting, she just dumped all 10 Happy Meals on the table and left. Who does that? The food sat there getting cold before the rest of the kids even arrived.
On top of that, I had to message her to remind her that at 3pm, I wanted to cut the cake and have the mascot and games. Only then did she suddenly tell me there was no mascot. And when she finally showed up on the third floor, she didn’t even help set up the cake she just stood there watching me do everything myself.
For the past 2 years, my experience with McDonald’s parties was fantastic. They played 3 games with the kids and had a mascot appear. But this year? No mascot, only one pathetic game, and her attitude was completely unbothered. She didn’t even pretend to be friendly during the cake-cutting or games. She just literally look like a party decoration to me.
And to make things even worse.. the chicken was uncooked! How is that even acceptable? Serving raw chicken at a kids’ party is beyond unprofessional… it’s a health hazard.
My party was from 1–4pm, but before 4, she had the nerve to call and rush me to settle the bill. Only after that did she bother handing me the Happy Meal toys. So what? She expected me to distribute them myself at the end of the party? And most of the kids have left.
This was hands down the worst experience I’ve had. Completely unprofessional, unorganized, and...

29/10/24: Kindly address your weekend manager's (female, bespectacled, quite tall, and burly) manner of treating customers and staff.
There was a minor issue to be dealt with Sunday night, and the lady cashier attending to me needed the assistance of the manager. The latter was unable to sort the matter out properly, despite my repeated attempts at clear and concise explanations. She then turned in the direction of aforementioned staff and raised her voice at her in uncontrolled frustration. After which, the manager keyed in the wrong amount (cash given) on my receipt, told me to accept it without correcting the mistake, and proceeded to return the wrong change, telling me the amount was correct. Whilst I continued staring incredulously at her, holding up the notes, she actually counted on her fingers how much she ought to give back, again reiterating that it was right.
As if the above wasn't bad enough, your female manager uttered ‘Oh shit’ twice under her breath but audibly enough – IN FRONT OF – paying customers. What kind of managers are y'all putting in place, McDonald's? This sort of behaviour and manner from your staff is highly unprofessional, rude, disgraceful, and repugnant. What more, from people who hold higher positions than mere staff. This particular female manager treats workers under her and customers with contempt. This isn't the first time I have heard her shout at her own people; and then to swear? A complete put-off.
08/04/24: For quite awhile now, there has been a homeless man, wandering in to this particular outlet, staying for hours at end (sprawled out sleeping at various tables), staring at females or folks with food, waiting for scraps (or uncleared rubbish/food), and eating whatever left behind by customers. Far be it from me to be discriminatory or unsympathetic to this man's condition and plight; however, it is highly uncomfortable to have him around, watching (leering at times). Not to mention, this certainly drops the standard of your establishment, as frequent customers like me and my family are now hesitant to walk in and enjoy our drinks or meals. What is most off-putting is the odour. There is no need to make guesses as to whether he is at McDonald's, because the scent precedes him and wafts all around.
This has been briefly highlighted to one of the supervisors, whose reply was rather noncommittal. If the management would prefer a more positive course of action, why don't y'all pack some food for him instead, or take it to the higher authority to help sort the matter out? This has all been rather disturbing to us as a family and paying customers. We have graciously endured and stayed silent. Please...
Read moreWe placed our order for dine-in, but to our surprise, the entire restaurant was operating without air conditioning. When we asked the staff, they mentioned that it had been this way for several days.
It would have been much more considerate to place a notice at the entrance or inform customers before they order. We expected to enjoy our meal in a comfortable environment, but instead, we had to switch to takeaway after waiting, which was especially disappointing for the kids who were looking forward to dining in.
To make matters worse, the fries were served cold, with no warmth at all. This was really unacceptable, as we expected freshly prepared food.
On top of that, we were initially informed that the original fried chicken would take 15 minutes to be ready, which we were fine with. However, after waiting for 25 minutes, another staff member suddenly told us that we needed to wait another 15 minutes! I explained that we had already been waiting, and now it would take a total of 45 minutes—or possibly even longer? What is this, are they bringing the chicken fresh from the kampung?
With the whole environment already uncomfortably hot due to the lack of air conditioning, we ultimately decided to cancel the second order. This was truly a frustrating experience and an example of terrible customer service.
McDonald's,...
