The high review this restaurant gets is for the free hand roll promotion for a review. I don’t think it’s a bad thing per se.
This restaurant has good things going for it. The staff are friendly and helpful, the wait times are not long and food comes out hot. Another thing this restaurant tries hard at is presentation. The restaurant has a nice cozy ambience, tables are spaced out nicely, and there’s enough room for everyone to just do their thing, doesn’t have the overcrowded feeling when you step into the restaurant. You can also tell they care about the food presentation, the trio ramen bowl looks like it belongs on an omakase menu, and their hand rolls are served in a nice arrangement on a nice wooden plate.
BUT that’s where the good ends. For all the good things the restaurant does, it does them just as badly as well which takes you out of the immersion. There’s a distinct disinfectant smell the moment you walk in, and it doesn’t get better. The food itself is subpar. The trio ramen. Unagi ramen was too oily and salty. The pork in the middle bowl was overcooked, and the spicy noodles were just average. The handrolls were just plain, rice was plain, seaweed was plain, and protein were also plain, nothing special. It’s comparable to family mart’s onigiri, and they cost about the same so if you’re looking for fresh-er handrolls/onigiri, then this place is an option.

Read moreI’m giving this spot 4 stars, largely for its excellent value - the pricing is refreshingly affordable given the type of food served. While the food itself isn’t remarkable, it’s perfectly palatable - a decent, satisfying meal when you’re simply looking to fill an empty stomach.
Each dish is cooked fresh to order, which is a definite plus. The complimentary miso soup, though a nice gesture, would have been far better if served piping hot rather than lukewarm. On the bright side, the steamed rice was surprisingly good, fluffy and well-prepared - a small detail, but a meaningful one.
The real standout was the black pepper sauce: bold, peppery, and just the right amount of savory, it breathed life into an otherwise dry beef patty, transforming it into something genuinely enjoyable.
Service was efficient, though delivered with a certain clinical detachment - don’t expect warmth, but you won’t be kept waiting either. As for the environment, it leans heavily toward the functional, bordering on spartan; a little more coziness and atmosphere would go a long way in making the experience feel more inviting.
All in all, a solid choice when you want a quick, freshly cooked meal that’s easy on the wallet - just don’t come...
