Horrible service! Waited an hour before our food finally came. Checked with 3 different staffs for the food but all said "ok, will check" but never came back to us with any updates on the whereabouts of our food. And they can even walk past our table like nothing ever happened , like we never had the conversation with them to check on our food. In the end, went up to the restaurant manager who is totally clueless about running the place - told him and said he will check also but never came back to our table to tell us what was going on. Almost losing our patience, the manager was walking past our table (again pretended that we never had the conversation - I suppose this is their "practice" in servicing customers) so we called him over and asked where was our food. He said the most amazing thing ever !! He said he told the head chef already about this and another table also had to wait more than an hour for their food. WOW , what an "amazing"answer! Was he trying to tell us that 1 hour was the standard waiting time or we should be grateful that we havent been waiting as long as the other table (we haven't reached the 1 hour waiting time yet at that time)??!! So epic. The table behind us who ordered later than us also got their food earlier than us. Even when we got our food after an hour, they were still sending the wrong orders to our table. Another horrible thing is they allow smoking in the indoor area, where there are multiple airconds inside. The table next to us that was right under the aircond were smoking away while the other table next to us had kids there . What is the point of having an outdoor seating area (which I assume should have been the smoking area) when u allow smoking indoors? Told the staff and he didn't bother and just said "yea can smoke indoors cos this is a bar" .. super bad attitude. Never ever going...

Went to Yilo SS15 today for my lunch takeaway. While waiting for the food, I was standing near the bar counter where I saw the waiter was busy preparing for the iced lemon tea. On the counter, there were some drinking glasses after being used by diners and not yet cleaned. The waiter put those glasses in the sink and turned on the tap water to briefly rinse off the glasses without washing with detergent or brush. He then transferred the glasses (with water dripping) back to the counter top and filled in the lemon tea which are ready to serve other diners. I used to praise how nice the food and the environment at the restaurant, but today I felt so disgusting to dine in the restaurant. Imagined someone with covid drank the glass and later the glass was briefly rinsed off and used by another diner... that's one of the reasons why some people kept saying "i don't know where I catch the virus ..". THIS IS HOW YOU CATCH IT!!

I hope the management of Yilo can take this seriously, why I said so? Because one of their bosses was there today at the counter and i am sure he was aware of it but did not stop his worker from doing it! For hygiene's sake, please stop...

Normally when you think of a great gathering location or place, few things comes to mind. Firstly is parking, then the price for not only drinks but also finger foods. Type of food, not to mention the ambiance and not to miss the service level too. Well this place seems to have it all, hence twice visited in one week since discovery. In summary this is my ā€œChinese version of Uncle Donā€. The location in Subang but away from any commercial building is a definite YES. The food served is crazily good especially after few visits, you will develop a love for its small dishes. Mine was the Wet Hockien noodles and the combo of ā€œBalachanā€fried pork or maybe the ā€œnamyu porkā€ too la. The only missing dish is really the stir fried cockles ( this will definitely put this place on anybody/ drinkers radar). The final push is definitely the availability of this drink called NuErHong. It’s a slow love to catch on especially the sour plums takes much longer to infuse as it’s served with ice cubes. Once the flavors starts to catch up, please slow down on the drinking part. Might catch you off guard and a bit too...

A neighbourhood watering hole with fusion Chinese and western dishes to boot. Yilo stands at the corner of Jalan SS15/5 and 5a. Parking is quite easy to find since it also borders the residential houses on the other side of the road. There is outdoor and indoor seating available, In this heat, indoor is recommended always unless you want to sweat or smell of cigarette smoke. The food and drinks here are pretty good. There is a good selection of Chinese sharing dishes or you may opt for the standalone meals which are pretty good. Prices are moderate, which may explain why the place is quite popular, especially after 5pm when the crowds start coming in.

1. Do not order their cocktails especially the one with bailey in it. It looks like curdled milk and vomit (see photos). When I asked the bartender, he can’t give me a reasonable answer and replied it’s meant to be like that. (Mind blown) why on earth would ppl add vinegar into a milk/cream based drink? It’s obvious they are not good in making cocktails. 2. Do not sit at the few tables next to the entrance to their toilet and kitchen. It so smelly even with mask on. We respectfully asked them to close the entrance door but the waiter just declined or he simply doesn’t understand what we said in English. 3. Definitely not coming back again.
