Navio restaurant — Restaurant in Maafushi Island

Navio Restaurant is truly a gem in Maafushi! I’ve tried several places on the island, and I can honestly say this is the best restaurant here. The food is excellent — the pasta is cooked perfectly, flavorful and fresh, and the burgers are amazing, easily the best I’ve had in the Maldives. The portions are generous, the presentation is nice, and you can tell the kitchen puts real care into what they serve.

But what really makes Navio special is the service. I want to give a big shout-out to Ovi, who is not only a great waiter but also a genuinely kind and friendly person. From the moment we sat down, he made sure we felt welcome, gave us great recommendations, and always served with a smile. He checked in on us at just the right times, and you could see he really cares about making guests happy. People like Ovi make the whole dining experience much better, and he truly deserves recognition.

I cannot recommend Navio enough! During my trip to Maafushi, this restaurant was a fantastic find and the highlight of my culinary journey.The staff Raju is really helpful and make me feel at home!

The star of the show was undoubtedly their Seafood Platter. It was absolutely incredible! The selection was fresh, generous, and perfectly grilled. Every piece—from the juicy prawns to the flavorful fish and tender calamari—was cooked to perfection and bursting with taste. It's a true feast for both the eyes and the palate.

I paired it with their Fried Rice, which was delicious in its own right. It was fragrant, well-seasoned, and complemented the rich flavors of the seafood beautifully.

The atmosphere here is also wonderful. It's the perfect spot for a relaxed lunch or a romantic dinner, with a great view and very friendly, attentive staff.

We had a great experience here. I loved the food and the service was good. However, some of the staff foes not know English well and they charge for drinks inconsistently. Double coffee with milk was charged once only milk and coffee separately, once coffee latte, and once some other type of coffee. I drew their attention about being consistent. However, i think the main issue is communication in English. Nevertheless, the friendly and superb service of OVI was a great hospitality. He speaks English well and he is a well trained staff who will make sure the visitors/customers will come back again and again as we did it. Once you are on Maafushi island, you must have breakfast and dinner here also. Prices are affordable and as everywhere service charge is included.
