Leisure Boutique & Java Jazz Cafe — Restaurant in Maafushi

The worst food and service I experienced in Maafushi. It was only later that I realised, by the t-shirts of some of the staff, that this is part of Ocean Villa, where I got the fish that gave me the runnies. The lime juice took about 20 mins and the food about double that, and for a small plate with cold chips, that wasn’t even very nice. Then I had to ask for the bill 3 times to 3 different staff in order to pay. The only good thing about this place, in my opinion, is that it allowed me to upload all my photos and videos of the 3 days on the island to Facebook before...

The place is nice, food was good. But the service was very bad. I went with my wife for a dinner and sat at the table for at least 10-15 min but there was no one to serve. And after sometimes lady came and ask "do you want to have dinner here?". Long story short. When the food arrived I ask for 2 drinks. Since there was nothing to drink with the food. Not even water. After drinks arrived I asked where is drinking water. Replied sorry I forgot, and finally when drinking water came he did not bring glass to drink water. So....

We recently dined at Java Jazz Cafe and was thoroughly impressed! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel so welcome and well taken care of. The service was prompt, attentive, and friendly.

We especially loved the grilled seafood platter. The portions were generous, and the presentation was beautiful.

Only downside, the restaurant can be brighter and food can be serve faster to make the atmosphere better.

Highly recommend to anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and an overall fantastic dining...
