Habibi Italian Pizza and Pasta — Restaurant in Maafushi

I arrived to the place, was ready to order. Turns out some options on the menu are not available. So since they have a wood oven for pizza, I threw caution to the wind and ordered two pizzas of other available options. That’s when the waiter says I can’t pay by card or make a transfer. Have to pay by cash only. We had to go to the ATM to get cash to pay for the order. Had I known earlier it could have saved me some energy. Pizza was served but no sauce to go with it. Pizza was very bland. I requested for sauce and was offered only chilli flakes and tomato sauce. Apparently they do not have any other sauce. I requested ice with my drink, and there’s no ice. It was quite dark in the restaurant. But the staff didn’t turn on any lights. Once he turned on and then quickly turned it off. The staff keeps on staring at us, and keeps standing at a corner with eyes on the table. It felt very uncomfortable and was very inconvenient. Food is really expensive. And totally not worth it. I do not think that I will come here again. And I do not...

Seeing a pizza oven, we got excited..

But was a little disappointed after getting the pizza. Not bad - just not great. We had a chicken pizza, it had barely any tomato base on it at all so it was basically just cheese & chicken on a base (with very little flavour other than that)

The Creamy mushroom pasta also had very little flavour at all. The quality wasn’t bad, just very basic & plain. Definitely don’t recommend unless maybe for kids?

Dopo due tentativi non andati a buon fine, possiamo dire che Habibi Italian Pizza and Pasta ha saputo ripagare la nostra perseveranza. La prima volta il forno era fuori uso, e la seconda ci è stato detto che il locale era pieno, nonostante ci fossero tavoli liberi. Nonostante qualche piccolo intoppo, abbiamo deciso di dare un’altra possibilità al ristorante, e siamo contenti di averlo fatto!

Cosa abbiamo ordinato: • Pizza Margherita: Una buona sorpresa. L’impasto era sottile, ben cotto e il sapore del pomodoro fresco con il formaggio si sposava perfettamente. • Pizza Diavola: Decisamente gustosa, con un buon equilibrio tra piccantezza e sapore.

Ovviamente, non aspettatevi una pizza napoletana verace, ma considerando che siamo alle Maldive, questa pizza è una delle migliori che abbiamo provato sull’isola.

Cosa ci è piaciuto: • Qualità del cibo: Una pizza semplice e ben fatta, che supera di gran lunga altre pizzerie provate a Maafushi. • Prezzo economico: Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo, soprattutto per essere alle Maldive. • Atmosfera: Il locale è accogliente e perfetto per un pranzo rilassante.

Cosa si può migliorare: • La gestione delle prenotazioni e della comunicazione con i clienti: trovarsi con il forno rotto e o sentirsi dire che non c’è posto quando i tavoli sono liberi può lasciare perplessi.

Conclusione:

Se cercate una buona pizza a Maafushi, Habibi Italian Pizza and Pasta merita una visita. Non aspettatevi i sapori di una pizzeria napoletana, ma troverete comunque un’ottima alternativa per soddisfare la vostra voglia di pizza. Consigliatissimo per qualità e prezzi!
