Lavista Restaurant — Restaurant in Malé

Beautiful atmosphere, but unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The only positives were the cleanliness, vibe, and excellent drinks. Service was poor—I waited 15 minutes for a menu and had to personally approach the servers for attention, despite them not being busy. I understand they might have had a long day, though.

The prices are steep—150 for a club sandwich is hard to justify, but 300 for a pasta? I’ve tried many pricey restaurants, but for that cost, the food should be exceptional. Came twice. First with wife for a coffee and then for dinner alone. Even though staff showed great personality both times the service was terribly slow. Food items are overpriced for the portion size and taste. Only exception was the drinks which we think are of value. Ordered waffle sandwich for the first time. It took a long time to arrive to our table. Either the staff forgot to punch in or the kitchen was busy, neither of it was communicated. I had the worst experience at this Restaurant, kept us waiting for almost 2hrs only to tell us that they hadn't entered our order. I had my hungry 4 year old and my 7 month baby with me. When we asked about our order one of the waiting Staff even told us that it was almost ready. We have never been treated this way anywhere. And even after doing this the floor manager tried to argue with us and told us there was a queue while we witnessed the 2 next to us getting their in half an hour.
