Went to have a coffee and then lunch, however the manager was utterly rude to us. We were 3 students working on our assignments but this manager decided that a 2 hour sitting on the table was too long to stay there. She came to us after finishing our coffee and dessert and told us and quoting "Ha jkollkhom tqumu ghax ghandi bzonn il-mejda" - rudely. Practically shouting at us. Note that other students were working on other tables and they were there way before us with no visible food/drinks on their table. We would have been fine if they asked us to order more food which we were going to do anyway since we had just finished our coffee and croissant. We went to ask her nicely why she chose us from the whole shop (not that we wanted other people to move) however we felt it was unreasonable. And she started shouting for the whole cafe' to hear that we had been there all day and she could not tell the whole place to leave so she decided to single us out. It is a pity because it is a nice place to work but the service from the manager was horrible. However, the other barista was...
Read moreI am a regular customer at costa Mriehel and was very disappointed with the customer services provided the last time I was there. Firstly, when ordering, the barista left in the middle of the order to take care of something in the kitchen. Apart from the Maple Hazel products ,which are currently still being advertised, not being offered as they are out of stock, the bathrooms were both out of order with no other option but to leave the premises. When I asked the barista for an alternative place to use the bathroom, they replied with another place 10 mins walk away from the coffee shop. Although I appreciate the service given by the same barista for handling a previous query, I feel it is not acceptable for the coffee shop not to provide a WC to the customers. May I just add I saw two previous male customers using the bathroom before me when I was not permitted to do so. I was told that this was done not to overuse the facilities. Wanted to spend a longer time there but had to be cut short due to this...
Read moreOrdered a pot of tea. The water was just tepid so the tea couldn't steep properly. Went back to have it replaced and the shop assistant replaced it with a hot pot which was refilled from a different 'tap'. The assistant was working very hard, probably understaffed coffee shop. Then I ordered tuna ftira, fresh, not toasted. The filling was really good but the bread was obviously stale, so much so that I could only eat the centre part. Couldn't bother to go back to complain again. I expected better from Costa and was quite disappointed, considering the expensive prices...
