Giuseppe Café & Bistro There are approximately 91 band clubs on Malta and Gozo. We have eaten at a fair number of them, and our favorite is Giuseppe’s in Ghajnsielem. Giuseppe’s is more than a band club and burger place. It is a full-on restaurant and bar. They offer exceptional food and excellent table service. Whether you're alone or with a party of 100, they will accommodate any size. The food is not only first-rate and delicious, but it will not break your bank account. Mary’s favorite is Chicken Parmesan, a perfectly cooked chicken breast. Tender and juicy with shavings of Parmesan and just the right amount of sauce, it’s served with chips, vegetables, or their perfectly roasted potatoes. Their full menu has burgers, a ftira, salads, roasted chicken, pizza, pastas, steaks, and yes, you can get a Full English breakfast. If I have lunch, I usually order an enormous vegetable salad. At dinner time, I get the filet of steak cooked to perfection. Fresh specials are served from 10 am to midnight every day except Wednesday, 5pm to midnight, and Sunday, 8 am to midnight. The menu is quite large with a variety of many local and worldwide favorites. We go to Giuseppe’s at least twice a month. It is our favorite local restaurant, a...
Read moreGiuseppe is my go-to when in Għajnsielem, Gozo. The café is a popular spot for locals and visitors as well. The atmosphere is bright and friendly. Walk in and seat yourself; a welcoming server will be with you shortly. The menu has a wide variety for lunch and dinner. Mediterranean and European dishes include pizza, pasta, salads, sandwiches, fish, beef, chicken, and pork. Ingredients are local and fresh. I think the chicken parmigiana is the best anywhere on the islands. My partner loves the roasted half chicken. One of the best parts of Giuseppe is their dessert case. Cakes, pies, pastries, and cookies are irresistible. If you don't have room for dessert, get something to take home for later. Giuseppe has a full coffee bar serving coffee drinks of all kinds. There is also a full line of Maltese and international spirits, wine, and beer. We have a bottle of Italian prosecco with our meals there. Of course, we love bubbly wine. Seating is available indoors and outside. You'll have a sea view if you choose the side terrace. You'll find this café to be easy on your budget. I highly recommend Giuseppe -...
Read moreLovely meal with friends, sat out on a warm evening. The food was great and a reasonable price. Only thing I would fault was the service, not because we did not have enough but because we had too much! Everything was doubled up because the ipads do not talk to each other and the waiting staff do not have areas to cover, they work everywhere, so they do not have continuity. All orders, mains, extra water, wine, desserts were all made twice to different staff. Not a problem really, except we changed our minds about dessert after we'd ordered, so when we were asked a second time, we asked if it was too late to cancel, they said no, but they turned up five mins later. Overall a good experience and we will...
