Rexy was a delightful place for an impromptu lunch in Għajnsielem, Gozo. The menu is traditional Mediterranean, including meats, fish, pasta, and pizza. They offer a kids menu plus snacks for adults. We were seated on the ground floor. When busy, you might be sitting upstairs in the first-floor seating area. Our server was excellent, going out of his way to ensure our comfort and enjoyment. He kept an eye on us without being intrusive, even after the restaurant began to fill up for lunch. Rexy has an excellent wine list. We enjoyed a Maltese sparkling rose. Beer and spirits are available from the bar. Our lunch started with a complimentary Maltese Platter. The pickled broad beans and house-made conserva were perfect with the fresh Gozitan bread while we waited for our entrees. My companion and I shared a full rack of ribs and a traditional lasagna. Both were scrumptious. The smokey marinated pork ribs were tasty, juicy, and tender. They come smothered in BBQ sauce; however, the next time I order them, I will ask for the sauce on the side. Omg? This restaurant is simple the best in Malta and gozo. From the owner to the stuff they give you a very welcome face very friendly people. Now for the best of this place let me tell you the food they serve here is so good but let me tell you really good. Special the English breakfast. Is like eating in a prestige restaurant well done to the amazing chef. I come here almost every day and never get bored of there food and u can tell because they are always full. Great staff very welcoming. They provide you with complementary bread with a parmesan dip and garlic olives. We ordered 2 fried cheeselets with mango chutney and salad. Shortly after we got our mains. We ordered swordfish which was one of the specials and opted for baked potato and veg. One has the option to choose chips and salad. We also ordered the marinara pizza. Pizza was cooked to perfection and nicely presented.
