This snack bar is a joke. I gave 1 star because I couldn't give zero stars. I ordered a tea and an apple pie. My mum tried to order a cassatella but the waiter told her that they were out. She then tried to oder a sandwich but the restaurant had run out of bread, so she finally settled for an oriental platter. On the menu, 5 items were listed but the platter arrived with only 3 items (mind you this is a platter that costs over 14 euro!) When we drew the attention of the waiters about the platter they looked confused and went inside 'to check' about the missing food items. One of them returned with a bowl with 4 spring rolls saying that they had run out of the other items. The salad accompanying the platter was also not fresh. Then i got my tea, a half empty cup (no pot) and the supposedly apple pie. When i looked at the apple pie i thought it was some kind of sick joke. It was a sliver of pie (you cannot even call it a slice) that couldnt even stand upright. Inside there was a layer of sponge cake and a total of ....wait for it....drum roll....2 thin slices of apple!!! This 'pie' was then covered with some slimy orange sauce. This disgusting sliver of pie cost 3.50 euro!!!! How i wish i had read the reviews here before! Please stay away. There are plenty of good shops in Marsaxlokk and this is not one of them. It is a...
Read morePLEASE READ THIS!! Don’t go here! Grumpy, unfriendly man behind the counter. The ice coffee was disgusting and extremely small. We paid €16 for two ice teas and two ice coffees, which is more than double what we normally pay in Malta. My brother, who’s ill, was rudely told he wasn’t allowed to take his shirt off, despite it being burning hot and a beach terrace. Edit: when I was sitting in my car waiting for my parents this man had the audacity to come threaten me and complain about how we were rude for leaving an honest review, next he told me he was going to do something with the camera footage of our family, whatever that means, and he told us we had to go back to our own country. Maybe work on your attitude and service if you want people to leave...
Read moreI just had the worst experience there. My children were in the playground & desperately needed to go to the toilet. I asked could we use the toilet & we were told yes. My mother was sitting at the table & wanted to order a Fanta but no one took her order. Then our taxi arrived and the owner told me I needed to buy something, to which I replied, ok what do I need to buy? He said €5 for a bottle of water. I said ‘€5 for my young children using the toilet?! No way. I handed him €2 for nothing in return & he shouted at me as I left the kiosk with my elderly mother & 2 small children. He shouted that it wasn’t a public toilet & I wasn’t getting the smaller bottle of water (which I didn’t even want). The rudest man. Avoid...
