iPlace makes a striking first impression—the place looks genuinely exclusive, with a beautiful, modern design and elegant decor. The ambiance really stands out and immediately gives the feeling you’re about to enjoy something special. The restaurant’s style is upmarket and visually impressive, and you can tell a lot of attention has been given to how it looks.
However, the service didn’t match the sophisticated setting. On arrival, some tables were still dirty, and used plates and cutlery hadn’t been cleared away. Service was slow, with a really long wait just for drinks—and then the food arrived almost immediately after, making for an awkward dining flow. The staff seemed uninterested and not particularly professional, which didn’t help the experience.
Another letdown was getting a dirty knife. On the food side, I had a pepperoni pizza which was just okay—heavy on the cheese but nothing remarkable. My girlfriend had a burger, also fine but not memorable. Overall, the food was decent but not exceptional.
iPlace impresses visually and looks like a top-tier restaurant, its service and food fail to live up to the promise of its luxurious design. It’s a beautiful spot, but the experience fell short of...
Read moreFancied a sweet treat before catching the bus back to Valletta, so popped into iPlace after reading the great reviews on here.
I sat on one of the outside tables and looked at the menu on the iPad, I couldn’t order via the iPad so waited for someone to come and take my order. After waiting for ten minutes or so I went inside as I assumed you had to order at the counter, and the server said she’d come out to take my order.
I ordered the banana pancakes and a soft drink. The drink arrived pretty quickly, but a few minutes later the server came out to tell me that the pancakes weren’t available, but I could have waffles instead, to which I agreed.
A little while later my dessert arrived - and it was absolutely massive! Not what I was expecting at all (by comparison to the pics on the menu) and definitely a dessert meant for sharing, not just one person. It was far too much for me and I only managed to eat probably one third of it. But if I’m being honest I was actually starting to feel sick as it was far too sweet and gooey for my taste.
Another server asked me if I wanted to box up the left overs to take away, but as much as I appreciated his kindness I was completely...
Read moreThis place is amazing. Starting with the decor, which is high end and very nice. TVs almost at all tables and you can play whatever you like. iPads with menu instead of typical, "boring" menu booklets, hence the name iPlace. Food choice is huge. Visited the place twice during stay in Marsaxlokk and both times were fantastic. I would definitely go back there again and can not recommend it enough. Food prepared was fresh and very, very tasty. Choices for kids and they will accommodate for all dietary needs. There is a good selection of seating, including outside, where fire heaters are present in case you get cold during night time. Great selection of drinks, including selection of local wines. Delicious desserts that I recommend, even if you are full just ask for it to be put in a packaging and taken away. Even though it is a little bit more expensive than some other restaurants at the sea front, it is well worth it. You will not be...
