Absolutely outstanding. Fast, friendly service, and hot fresh food prepared quickly. This is our first visit to this restaurant (I think it opened recently) but we will definitely be back for more. We ordered the chicken Kiev and the burger. The Kiev was excellent. Juicy chicken breast stuffed with some kind of herb-filled cheese, coated in crunchy breadcrumbs and topped with grated cheese. I especially enjoyed how the breading on the chicken was crunchy until I finished eating - that's the sign of freshly made food. The burger was juicy and well cooked. The bacon was crispy as we like it, and the homemade sauce was very good as well. I can't quite describe it in words, but it was like mayonnaise with a thinner consistency and more flavour elements than plain mayonnaise, and it really complemented the burger. Both our meals were served with a side salad which was impressively fresh (see my pics - not a speck of brown on the lettuce) and we opted for a side of chips, which were freshly fried and crunchy but not super crunchy. For dessert we split a plate of pancakes with Nutella, which were wide and thin (similar to what we call crepes in Malta). Again fresh, great flavour and a generous portion. Read moreLaszlo’s Kitchen is an absolute gem in Mellieha! The food is simply outstanding, especially the Hungarian dishes, which are full of authentic flavor and heart. I loved the beef goulash soup—it was rich and comforting—and the six-layer cake for dessert was heavenly. Beyond the incredible food, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a cozy terrace perfect for a relaxed meal.
What really sets this place apart is the people. The owner and staff, who are all family, are so kind and attentive, making you feel right at home. You can tell they pour their passion into both the food and the service. It’s a place you’ll want to come back to again and again....
Read moreMy partner and I popped in on the off chance there was a table free and we were lucky enough. We sat downstairs and the service and staff were great. We had beef stew and dumpling and pork ala brasov and it was big portions and delicious. Wine was great value at €12 for a large bottle. We enjoyed it so much we returned 2 nights later and this time sat upstairs, which is lovely. This time my partner had the local sea bream, which was cooked to perfection and I had the chicken schnitzel which was a mighty meal and tasted lovely. This restaurant is a hidden gem and if you pass it by you are...
