So far, on our adventure travels in the last 12 months of Rhodes, Zante and Portugal never had such delicious and well presented food.
Malta, this was our first night here, and this place was the first place we dined at.
The welcome was ok, but after we made food choices to try the Soup of the day saying we didn't want to know what it was m. We were surprised with zucchini and potato delight.
Our waiter was intrigued as we guessed the flavours.
Next up Main course. Both local dishes were taken from the specials board.
Maltese Bragioli & Lobster Ravioli with Tomato Cream Sauce.
We had no idea of what Maltese Bragioli was. Other than Beef Olives. Spoiler alert there no olives.
Our second and 3rd couses arrived, and we stated with the Lobster Ravioli with Tomato Cream Sauce. This was a true sensational overload. The flavours and vine tomato sauce just were amazing.
Finally, the Maltese Bragioli. This was slowly braised stuffed bundles of beef. Beef rolls would be a more accurate description, but wheres the romance of Malta by saying that. The term olive is a bit confusing as there are no olives in this recipe. It turns out they got their name because they are stuffed and somewhat resemble the shape of an olive when cooked. Whatever you call them, they are delicious bundles of joy!
I found the thin sliced top sirloin on this dish was just cooked to perfection an practically melted in your mouth. This was served with mashed potatoes and peas.
Nora you clearly exceed our expectations of Malta.
Thank you.
Dish of the day. Lobster Ravioli. Maltese Bragioli. 2x local beers.

Read moreNoras lounge diner can be found on the edge of the bay on the road up to Mellieha village. It's a roadside establishment, but does have sea views available if you sit in the right place. It's actually quite a small place and seats about 50 people in total, which gives you an impression of being in cosy surroundings which is nice. The menu was quite varied and had some delicious choices of food and snacks. I tried the traditional Rabbit, served with chips and salad, and was not disappointed at all. It took about 30 mins for the meal to arrive, which suggests it was cooked fresh. My partner chose the Omelette, which was also served with chips and salad, and had already mentioned that the quality of the food here was good. Needless to say, she too was happily satisfied. The service was a little slow, but to be fair, no one was in a rush so it suited us just fine. All the staff were polite and courteous, and our waitress was very well informed about all the menus. Great stuff. I have only given a three star rating because I have visited many places worthy of great ratings, and this diner was in truth, just average in comparison. Well worth a visit if you are local and you should not be deterred by the 3 stars. The food really...
Read moreFirst of I will list the bad stuff and hopefully end on a positive. First of all the service I received was not up to standard we waited around 20 minutes before we even had a menu in our hands then it was around another 20 before we had a chance to order a drink the food was very slow to come to the table I had the fish and chips and it was like it was frozen which was surprising because the amount of time I waited for it I could have caught the fish and made my own the waiter was rude I didn't get a hello or goodbye but by that time I didn't care anymore he should not work there simple as I could see 2 staff were friendly at the bar which was nice to see but I had to go and get my bill as my waiter either didn't hear us the 4 times I asked or couldn't be bothered I will 1000% never be coming back to this restaurant if you can call it that I wouldn't so ending on a nice note the...
