St. Elmo's Kitchen — Restaurant in Valletta

This place is counter-only for orders, and that is mentioned at the top of the menu (though other review suggested that it wasn't mentioned anywhere).

Food wasn't that great of a taste - we've ordered burgers with fries and Caesar salad. Burger was pretty basic, and the fries had a fish taste to them. The view is amazing though, and maybe going here just for a coffee / drinks is a good idea. The place was very busy at the time, and staff were in a hurry with orders and payment, which might result in issues with orders. The toilet facilities were not that clean at all (understandable, it's a busy area).

This place accepts Malta Discount Card, but staff at the counter seems not to know how much is the discount - first I was asked if it's 10%, and then I said that it's 20%, because I forgot that it is actually...

We got two drinks (self service), a beer and a juice. For the small beer, the price said 4.5 euros, while the juice (100% fruit) was supposed to be less than 5. Somehow, their math came to 12 euros, and that's just the beginning. The 100% natural juice ended up being a syrup mixed with water that tasted like pure sugar, even though there was maybe 5% of it in the water and ice. The place was extremely dirty. Pigeons were walking around dirty tables, eating the scraps from tables that weren't cleaned. The man at the cash register was totally confused and needed 10 minutes to give a receipt for two drinks. When we arrived all the inside tables were being used for a large party. Quickly told by a staff member that you ordered at the counter. On placing my order for Rabbit Ravioli was told the kitchen had closed however on my return to order sandwich informed that they would make the Ravioli.

It did not take too long for it to arrive and it tasted fantastic. Ravioli was perfectly cooked and was in a rich sauce definitely made in the kitchen as it had a bay leaf in it.

The setting for this place is excellent you get great views down the Grand Harbour...
