If you’re looking for a spot in Valletta with great vibes, amazing food, and exceptional service, Cheeky Monkey Gastropub is a must-visit. We recently booked for a large group, and the experience was nothing short of fantastic.

The restaurant went above and beyond to accommodate us, ensuring every detail was taken care of. The ambiance is both cozy and modern, making it perfect for groups or even a casual outing. Aleks and his team were outstanding—friendly, professional, and incredibly attentive. Despite sitting outside on a chilly evening, the warmth of their hospitality made us feel completely at ease.

The service was impressively fast, and the food? Simply superb. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor—clearly made with care and quality ingredients. Every member of our group left satisfied and already talking about coming back!

Getting there: From Valletta’s City Gate, walk straight along Republic Street until you reach the Pjazza Teatru Rjal. Turn slightly right onto Triq Ir-Repubblika, and follow the street until you spot Cheeky Monkey on your left. Cheeky Monkey Gastropub in Malta is a place that stands out even among the many establishments offering Happy Hours, which are found everywhere here. However, it’s the staff that makes this place unique: incredibly friendly, witty, and always ready to joke, they create an unforgettable atmosphere and fill you with positivity.

We came here exclusively for drinks during Happy Hours. I chose a Frozen Raspberry Margarita, and my boyfriend went for a classic Margarita, and both cocktails were excellent. The cozy outdoor area with a view of the historic architecture adds a special charm. Happy Hours, with two cocktails for €7.95, is already great, but thanks to the staff, Cheeky Monkey becomes a place you want to keep coming back to❣️

My friend and I found this little gem on our trip to Valletta. Very unassuming from the outside but trust me, it was one of the best decisions we made. It has sitting capacity inside and outside. Since it was a nice day, we sat outside. The staff were so pleasant and attentive. The manager kept coming around to all the customers, checking if everything was to their satisfaction. He changed one of the cocktails we ordered to another one, when we complained about the taste. The chicken wings with the voodoo sauce was so good. We also had the baboon, a sharing platter. The brownie was so warm and gooey. All the food we had was so tasty. The manager made accommodation to surprise my friend on her birthday at my request. I would recommend this gastropub to anyone visiting Valletta. Good...
